🐾 Ouch! Poor Tito came in with a painful nail injury today! 🐾

Nail injuries are more common than you might think and can happen to any active pup who loves to run, dig, or explore. Whether it’s a cracked, torn, or broken nail, it can be really uncomfortable (and a little scary) for our furry friends.

Thankfully, with some gentle care, we were able to clean up the area and give him some medication to help with the pain and inflammation. He’s already on the road to recovery and should be back to his playful self soon!

Meet Elly 💕 This sweet girl came in with an ear infection, and we were happy to help! We cleaned her ears and applied a long-term treatment, so her mom doesn’t have to worry about daily medication. We hope you’re feeling better soon, Elly! 🐾

This cutie came to see us after his owners noticed he wasn’t feeling well. We did some radiographs and discovered the problem was his back. We gave him some injectables to help him feel better right away and sent home some additional medications to keep him comfortable 💙 We hope you are feeling better!

Sweet little Rocky came in recently after getting into some grapes 🍇—a common food that’s actually toxic to pets. Grapes (and raisins) can cause serious health issues for dogs, including kidney failure. But don’t worry, our team created a personalized treatment plan to help Rocky get back to his happy, playful self! 🐶❤️

🐾 Meet Ash! 🐾 This handsome boy came to see us after his family noticed something unusual in his stool. After running a few diagnostic tests, we discovered he had both hookworms and tapeworms. Don’t worry—our team has put together a thorough treatment plan to get Ash back to feeling his best! 🩺💙

Parasites like hookworms and tapeworms are fairly common and treatable, so always keep an eye out for any changes in your pet’s health. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, we’re here to help!

With the heat still in full swing, remember that our furry friends feel it too! Walking your dog in hot weather can lead to heatstroke and other injuries. Here's why: Concrete and asphalt retain heat, making it much hotter for your pet, and these surfaces can burn their paw pads. When it’s above 80-85 degrees, it’s best to walk your dog in the early morning or at dusk. If that’s not possible, keep walks short and stay on the grass. Always provide plenty of water and watch for signs of heatstroke, such as excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, and confusion. If you notice any of these, bring your pet to us right away.

Say hello to Petra! This sweet baby visited us for vomiting and diarrhea. We tested her fecal to see if she had any intestinal parasites or an overgrowth of bacteria in her system. The fecal testing was positive for an overgrowth of bacteria. We treated her with anti nausea medication and sent her home with antibiotics and Pro Pectalin, an oral probiotic gel. Ever wonder what we are looking at when we take a sample from your pets ears? Typically we are looking for bacteria but in this case we found these little guys crawling around.
