Two new scared ones safe
We are welcoming two extremely underweight, petrified stray dogs we rescued from a county shelter today. They will have plenty of time to decompress, and once they are ready for adoption, they will be listed on our website at www.gadr.org.
Daisy
We have an amazing update on Daisy, the stray we rescued with severe luxating patellas. We were told she was a stray running around in a neighborhood for weeks. We can't imagine the pain she endured. However, after successful surgery and rehabilitation, her patellas are now stable. Watch this heartwarming video of our foster taking Daisy on her first walk in the woods. While she'll have a slight limp, Daisy is pain-free and ready for adoption.
We are seeking a very special home for her. Thank you to all who donated to her care. For adoption, donation, fostering, volunteering, or transport opportunities, please visit www.gadr.org
Daisy update
Our little Daisy has come a long way, from barely being able to walk with deformed luxated patellas on the streets to becoming a confident, healthy dog. While she still has a long way to go and may not fully recover, we know she's doing better now than when we received her in constant pain. We hope to put her up for adoption by the holidays, but first, we want to get her stronger through more rehabilitation and physical therapy. Thank you to all who have donated to her care; visit www.gadr.org to help with her continued care.
Happy National Dog Day!
Teddie wishes everyone a Happy National Dog Day!
Daisy update
Daisy's recovery is going well, and our foster is helping her get comfortable for rehab. She'll visit the vet for stitches removal next week. Although her rehabilitation journey will be long, we're hopeful about her progress. Our foster has noticed a positive change - no more yelping! We appreciate your donations. This surgery was our most expensive to date. For updates or to support her care, visit www.gadr.org.
Daisy, our little rescue warrior, has faced incredible challenges with unwavering strength! Our veterinarian thinks she was born with grade 4 luxating patellas, she is dealing with pain and adversity with grace. Once a stray, she now has gained 3 1/2 pounds and growing more vibrant daily. Her journey continues and will be very long. But she is eagerly awaiting surgery on July 9th, making it possible due to your donations coming in. Daisy extends her heartfelt appreciation for those that have donated so far and serves as a shining example of resilience, inspiring all to never give up. To support her cause, visit WWW.GADR.ORG.
