Taken from an ASPCA article........: What does a smile mean in Canine? A smiling dog is a dog communicating comfort, ‘no fight’ and affiliation. Your smile can really make a difference for the dogs in your shelter. Try this simple test. Approach a kennel (remember turn to the side, as directly facing a dog can be a pretty controlling behavior, and simply look at a dog who is calm in his kennel. Now, smile. Watch for changes in his behavior—he will likely soften and relax. Taking the time to smile can help communicate to the dog “all is okay,” something many of them really need to “hear.”.......

If you can't make it to your local shelter, find a rescue dog to smile at. If you can't find a rescue dog, smile at your own dog or cat 😬😁 share the smiles!!!

Hi, my wife and I just had a baby and discovered he is allergic to our dog.

Liberty is a 3 years old playful and family friend black border collie and Labrador mix.

She is house trained, is spayed, microchipped and is up to date on all her shots.

She is a true Bengal, she’s sweet natured with adults and tolerates children somewhat reluctantly but she certainly has a sassy streak in her! She’s very intelligent and knows how to pull doors open and get where she wants to go. She likes to climb and scratch her scratching posts. She is cuddly when she wants attention but doesn’t like to be held. She loves to talk and talk loudly! She is a cautious explorer until she warms up to you and then she will be more confident.

Krystal is a pure blooded Bengal she has a gorgeous coloration and sheen to her fur. When she turned 8 years old the breeder who had her said she was of no further use as she was too old to produce more litters. She was given away for free to someone who came to adopt one of her babies and ended up at a rescue, which is where I met her. I was hopeful I could provide her a nice retirement and a loving safe home; however my 14 year old male cat has never adjusted to her presence despite all the things I’ve tried. I have been forced to shut her in a room to keep her safe from attacks. It is not fair to her.

UPDATE! Jimi made it through surgery, is taking his meds, and should be able to go home Friday or Saturday!🙌😊🙏🏻

Jimi is only 2yrs old and currently on his way to Harmony Vet Care in Brandon with a blockage 😿❤️‍🩹 we would appreciate any help we can get with the upcoming bill. It was quoted from 900 up to 1800........everywhere else was 3000 to 5000 and couldn't get him in today which was mandatory!

Prayers for Jimi needed Promised Land Family!!! And a big thank you to Britt for helping us get through. And to Harmony for taking this on!! 💓

Small pit mix - said to be about 3 years old. She has been good with both cats, dogs, and kids. And has been a fan favorite among everyone we have seen so far this morning out and about. She knows basic commands and willingly allowed me to give her a bath. She is extremely lovey!

Mochi!! A moment from her Foster's view 💓

Mochi is a lovable, sweet girl who loves to be close to her person, loves to cuddle. She loves playing with other dogs, has no issues with cats, just wants to play with them. She loves toys and carries one with her everywhere she goes. She hasn’t been around young children but hasn’t had any issues with older children. She is almost house trained, will bark to let you know she needs to go outside. She is crate trained, will sit for treats, and to be fed.

PRC is at over 500% capacity with cats and kittens with more flooding through our doors each day!🤯

For kittens less than 1.5 lbs., we are in need of fosters to help raise them until they are old enough for adoption. Fosters must be able to care for the kittens for up to 8 weeks and be able to bring them in for regular check-ups and boosters.
