It was a perfect day in a picturesque spot in a lovely town that raised some much needed funds for our SoCo dogs! The pictures say it all! SoCo’s 1st Annual Howl O’ Ween Fest & Costume Contest in Frenchtown, NJ was a success & incredibly fun for people & dogs alike! The costume ideas were so adorable & creative!Thank you to everyone who supported us before & during this event - SoCo’s ability to continue to rescue, rehabilitate & find adoptive homes for unwanted/abandoned/neglected/abused dogs depends greatly on the involvement & generosity of people & communities who show support by attending our fundraisers! ♥️Thank you to the Frenchtown community, our alumni/volunteers/supporters & businesses who donated money/goods/time, and to the newcomers to SoCo who found us through this event - welcome to the SoCo family! We hope to see you again next year (& hopefully before at our other fundraisers!) It’s been over 2 weeks since Hurricane Helene devastated our rescue and the area around it.
Scott & our staff have been without electricity all this time. We are so grateful for the generators that were donated but buying gas is getting costly.
Let’s hope electricity is restored soon!!!

Kevin made the 800+ miles down, now let’s wish him a safe trip home!! ♥️In the midst of all the devastation, isn’t it amazing to see Scott beaming from ear to ear?? His faith in humanity has been restored through everyone’s generosity and kindness. SoCo will #FindaWay and come back even stronger!
Hurricane Helene Update

Please read this important update and if you have any means to help, please email us or message us on social media! ♥️ Good morning, SoCo supporters,Update on our aid from NJ for the hurricane damaged SoCo Rescue Facility in Tarrytown, GA - a generous volunteer donated a box truck rental and another offered to make the drive to Tarrytown, leaving this Thursday (10/3), to bring essential supplies. The area is devastated, remains without power, and the local stores are running out of basic food supplies, so they desperately need our help to keep the people and dogs safe and healthy, and to assist with the clean-up and rebuild. This ability to transport a large amount of supplies to the rescue from here in NJ opens up a much bigger opportunity to help and we need you! Let’s fill the truck with life-saving supplies for our team & dogs in GA!These are the things we are looking for – if you can donate personally or anyone has any connections with grocery, bulk supply, home improvement, etc. stores, maybe we could get larger quantity donations.
