He stops everything he is doing literally in the pouring rain and spent 5 minutes getting drenched fixing it for little man… they rode off happy and he just left with a smile on his face" Gave us one too! 🙂💙❤

I had adopted her but she refused to come away with me. It was weird because dogs can't wait to leave the kennel. She was crying and stubbing her paws. I should have dragged her. But when I looked down I understood the reason and I had to make a CHOICE "When the time came to take her home she was just out of that cage, from that moment a new world awaited her, a wonderful life and a lot of love. Any another dog would have run into the embers of her rescuers. But she did not. She stood still, sticking to all fours and refused to come out of the cage. In a corner a small Chihuahua Taco looked at her in fear. She understood that she was about to lose her her best friend. And in that moment a small miracle happened. The couple saw the whole scene and decided to adopt them both. They did the documents also for the chihuahua and all 4 went out the door of the shelter. was taken in the car, before leaving. Personally I would like to wish these two dogs a happy life full of love !. But above all so much happiness also to these two wonderful people ❤️

Bobcat kitten at the Bosque del Apache NWR.

This was during one of my photography workshops last fall. I was very proud of my students, who stayed in the car (versus trying to get out and "sneak up" on a bobcat family) while taking ethical photographs and not disclosing the location to the many other people in the area.

I have witnessed homo sapiens do whatever it takes to get photographs of wildlife, with little disregard for the well-being of the wildlife.

In this case, it worked out perfectly. The family of bobcats went on with their activities, including playing and hunting, while we watched from inside our parked cars.

In places like the Bosque del Apache, many of the animals become socialized (used to) vehicles, and one can use their vehicle as a photography "blind" in many cases.

In a perfect wildlife photography situation, the wildlife does not even know the photographer is present, and the wildlife is free to behave as they choose with no impact from humans.

Normally I do not disclose the locations of any wildlife on the internet, except at times when it is a general location of a wildlife refuge, and often delay reporting it many months from the observation.

Human behavior is predictable. Post the location of a nest, den, or other interesting wildlife, and others will rush to the location. Brag about a great trout stream, and it won't stay great for long...
