I’ve been a little quiet in here recently, after a wonderful holiday season I’ve spent these last few months preparing for a gallery show “Sea to Summit” to feature my landscape paintings. My colleague Jonathan Garcia Art and I have over 50 paintings of New England from scenic seascapes to mountain vistas. If you are located in the North Attleboro area, this show will be on display for the month of March at Churchwood Gallery at The Preservation Framer, opening reception Saturday March 9th!

Sometimes the best reference photos are candid shots like this one. Dachshunds are so full of personality I love drawing them. These three were so cute perched on a doggie gate giving the best puppy dog eyes and ears.

Thank you Northeast Orthodontic Specialists - Matthew Almeida DMD office for the opportunity to create this special gift for Dr. Matt. This is such a thoughtful present. I really enjoyed drawing these three, each dog is so different and their unique features are full of character. The distinct eyes and ears give them such cute expressions! This drawing was the first one where I have worked from 3 separate photos too.

This bougie pup is Dunkin, look at that sweet face! I really enjoyed this drawing, having the multi toned curly haired dog next to a smooth wine glass paired together was an exciting challenge.

Sometimes when my portraits are being gifted I forget to share! This drawing is from the summer, gorgeous bengal Ricky knows she is royalty, look at her pose! Now each kitty in this house has their own portrait, thanks Stephanie for commissioning me.

This memorial painting is now complete and delivered to the officer’s family so I can share. It was an honor to be commissioned for such a heartfelt piece. In addition to pet portraiture I’ve found myself being asked to create some memorial pieces so I thought I would share that here, maybe this is something others are looking for too. This artwork was painted from a photo taken of Taunton’s Officer Borges, his untimely passing from Covid was such a loss for our community. Often times when we think of police officers work we think of our own personal experiences, likely traffic stops or reactions to news stories. Moments like this generally go overlooked or even unnoticed, but they are so important.

Memorial portraits are so special, it’s an honor to be trusted with these. The beloved Lucilou drawing arrived home today in Louisiana. I did get a little attached to seeing this cutie in my studio, but I know she will be loved even more.
