We want to thank our loyal clients for keeping us so incredibly busy! As a one doctor practice, we never seemed to slow down after Covid and for that, we are grateful. As many of you know, we have not been accepting new clients for quite some time now. This was not a decision we made lightly but to be able to cater to our existing clientele and patient load, it was necessary. We have been consistently booking out 6 to 8 weeks for wellness Doctor appointments and about 4 weeks out for technician appointments. Due to this, urgent/sick visits are extremely limited. With the rising demand for veterinary care, especially sick visits- we have started to utilize urgent care facilities more and more. While we understand the desire to see your regular veterinarian for all points of care, often we recommend urgent care facilities to be in the best interests of you and your pet. Veterinary medicine often mirrors human medicine, think of this as a similar situation. When your primary care physician is often booked out months, years even, they will refer you to urgent care facilities to get your concerns addressed immediately. While we do wish Dr. Cowe and the staff could see every patient no matter the reason, we do have to triage and prioritize your pet’s wellbeing as well as stay on top of our in-hospital patient care. The veterinary field has been ever changing in the wake of Covid and we ask for everyone’s understanding during this challenging time as it is becoming a “new norm” for us to refer to urgent care or emergency care when we are not able to see your pet. As always, if you have questions or concerns, please call the clinic and we will be happy to answer any questions you may have!

With an entire week of scorching hot temps upon us, we urge everyone to be mindful on how they spend time with their dogs both outside and in cars. We especially want all brachycephalic breed owners (frenchies, pugs, bulldogs, etc.) to be extra mindful as these breeds are predisposed to heatstroke related emergencies!

With Easter coming up we would like to remind everyone to please NEVER bring lilies into your home when you have kitties. The entire plant is toxic, even the pollen. Exposure can lead to irreversible kidney injury. While these plants are beautiful, the risk is simply not worth it.

February is Dental Health Month! 🦷

Keeping your pets dental health in the best shape possible can make a massive difference in their overall well-being. Dental disease can keep your pet from eating, enjoying daily activities, or even cause harmful infections that can spread to major organs. Early detection of dental disease can make the difference between needing to remove teeth or not! Mention dental care to us at your next appointment so we can make the best recommendations for you and your pet!

01/16/2024

Please be advised we have closed early today due to the crazy weather! Any scheduled appointments for this afternoon will be called to reschedule. Otherwise, we will reopen for normal business hours on Thursday.

Happy Monday! We are half day today in observance of the holiday. We will reopen tomorrow at 9am.
