It is with the deepest of sadness that we have to say goodbye to the heart of Empire Show Stables, Boreale De Talma.
Boreale had an undeniable presence both in and out of the ring, being consistent in both her results and attentiveness. She had both friends and fans alike no matter where she was, and it is with a heavy heart that we have to accept having had taken her on her last trip this winter. Boreale’s passing was unexpected, which makes it more unbearable, but we will never forget her beauty and all of her accomplishments. She will always be part of our family.
So here’s to remembering ‘The Queen’

Empire Show Stables has wrapped up 3 weeks at the Venice Equestrian Tour, finishing up just a strong as we started. In our final week-
• Lex De Nuit made his 1.30 debut, finishing 2nd in the Level 3 USHJA Classic with Staisha Bejarano
• Sidney Porter & Lex De Nuit won Friday’s 1.20 Jr/Ao class, and finished 3rd in the 1.25 Classic
• Eva Hurlebaus & Janini Gold took top placings again this week in the 1.10-1.15 Jr/Ao division to finish Reserve Champion
• Brook MacDonald & Fun Dip wrapped up a successful week, finishing reserve champion in the Children’s Pony Division
• SLP Show Jumpers Prosper & Staisha Bejarano were 6th in Thursday’s 1.35 Welcome and 4th in Saturday’s 1.25 Prix

Empire Show Stables moves onto week 3 of the Venice Equestrian Tour, but not before a quick recap of another successful week.
This past week at VET 2 -
- Janini Gold & Eva Hurlebaus jump to the win, with the only double clear round, in Sundays 1.15 Jr/Ao Classic and finish Reserve Champion for the week
- Boreale De Talma & Tim Maddrix win the 25k Friday Night Lights Grand Prix of Venice
- Prosper & Staisha Bejarano jump double clear to finish 2nd in Thursdays Welcome and 3rd in the Saturday morning 1.25 Prix
- Lex De Nuit & Sidney Porter go 2 for 2, winning both open 1.20 to finish Champion for the week

After an easy holiday season, the Empire crew is back in full swing with our first show for 2024 in the books. Last week we kicked off our winter circuit at week 1 of the Venice Equestrian Tour-

•16.1h, 9yo, packer from .65-1.15, can do the 1.20-1.25 step up job and is the absolute winner up to 1.15.

•16h 8yo, Grand Prix prospect. Recently started in the 1.40 prixs and has ribboned 3 of 4 classes. Welcome stakes winner in Dec.

•16h 6yo, eligible green prospect. Recently transitioned from the eventing world- quiet, brave, willing. Will make up for any job.

2015, 17.0 hand Oldenburg gelding, successfully shown thru the 1.40m jumpers. Just started his career in the equitation - was Champion in the 15-17 Eq at the last two shows - winning every class. Also won the WIHS Overall, Hunter and Jumper phases at the last show.

Brownland Autumn Country ‘23 is in the books. This past week-
• Tim Maddrix took over the reins on Boreale De Talma to finish 2nd in the $30,000 Brownland Farm’s Grand Prix
• Prosper had another fault free week finishing 3rd in the 1.30 & 5th in the $10,000 1.35 Open Welcome
• Gray Sinn - 2nd in the 1.30
• Sidney Porter and new mount Lex De Nuit stepped up into the 1.20-1.25 Jr/Am to a 6th place finish on Saturday & a 2nd place finish in todays classic
