Anakin and Vader
Tuesday’s Skywalker Chronicle:
Anakin: It’s nice to be settling into our furever home, isn’t it?
Vader: It sure is. It took a while for the right family to find us, but it was worth the wait.
Thank you to everyone who followed Anakin and Vader's story. We're filled with joy knowing that they finally found a home.
When Leonor Haught was 91 years young, she adopted Izzy from a local shelter. That was seven years ago when Izzy was just 12 months old. A powerhouse of love and entertainment, Izzy became an extraordinary companion.
As Haught approached her 100th birthday, our Cornerstone volunteers were excited to support her and Izzy. Their combined dedication continues to make daily life easier for Haught and her loyal companion. Protecting this bond of love, Pet Peace of Mind serves to enhance and respect the relationship between people and their pets at the deepest level. We actively advocate for the pet’s role as an important member of the caregiving team because in our mind, a pet is never “just a pet.” So we’re thankful to Haught, Izzy and our volunteers who make this possible.
Anakin and Vader Play Hide & Seek
Tuesday’s Skywalker Chronicle - Entry from Anakin
There’s only one thing we love more than our Treat Mouse and that’s playing a game of hide and seek! I hid under the rug, AKA my blanket, and could you believe that Vader found me?! Oh well, guess I’ll try to win again once we finally find our new home with our new parents.
Stella is a beautiful little poodle who went through a very difficult time. Her mom loved and spoiled her as they grew older together. Then one day Stella’s mom died, and she was left scared and confused. Suzanne, a former volunteer for Cornerstone Hospice, saw Stella’s photo and came to her rescue.
It was love at first sight but difficult for both Stella and Suzanne as Stella had some serious health issues. Stella’s new parents and 4-legged sister loved, spoiled, and nursed her back to health. A big thank you to LEASH, Inc from Stella, Suzanne, and Pet Peace of Mind for covering the expensive cost of Stella’s dental, spay and microchip! We couldn’t have done it without you!
Enjoy this video of Stella and her sister Annie playing!
“The time has come for me to use the Force to get my treats from Treat Mouse! I just know it’s going to work. I just wish the Force would work to help find Vader and I a forever home. Until then, I’m going to use the Force to get Vader his favorite treat!”
We hope you are enjoying our week of education on our Pet Peace of Mind program. At least we hope you like seeing all the cute furry faces of our supporters every day! If you’d like to donate to help support our efforts please visit:
