Happy National Dog Day to all dog lovers, especially our volunteer Rita who added our three senior Chihuahua’s to her family. Each of them is amusing and loaded with personality! Mikey, Sheldon and Pinto are very sweet when they want to snuggle and good as gold when they sleep!
Everyone please pay attention to the ingredients when giving your pups treats!
Biddle and Twitch need to find forever homes as soon as possible. Their foster is not able to continue to keep them. The foster has taken them in for vaccines and for Biddle (Little Bit) to be neutered (Thanks to LEASH, Inc!).
They do NOT need to be rehomed together. Please share their flyers.
Misty has been adopted!! Thank you everyone so much for sharing her flyer, especially the Women for Hospice in Mt Dora who shared the winning flyer!

Sapphire and Itsy are still looking for a forever or foster home. These sweet, beautiful cats do not need to be placed together. The patient's family is overwhelmed and would be very grateful if Sapphire and Itsy could be placed in a safe loving home.
Just think how wonderful life could be if you woke up to Bob's adorable face every morning! To take advantage of this amazing opportunity please see the attached flyer. Both adopt and foster inquiries welcome.

AMC Animal Medical Center in Eustis Recognized for Their Dedication to Pet Peace of Mind Pets
Diane Anderson and Volunteer Joanne Rittenhouse joined me (Lisa Gray) in thanking Dr. Wilson and her staff by bringing lunch to their office and awarding them with a photo collage of some of the pets they have assisted with. This dedicated group of animal lovers have answered the call for help (usually desperate calls) many times over the past several years. They have provided free boarding and discounted veterinary care for some of our beloved pets that had no place to go. Most recently they took in Baby who had lost her human mom. Baby was VERY pregnant and became the mother of six beautiful little girls. Dr Wilson and her staff cared for both Baby and her puppies until the puppies were weaned and adopted. Baby was very fearful and did not trust anyone until one of the techs took her under their wing. It took a special person that was committed to showing Baby, now Sadie Sue, what it feels like to be happy and loved. Sadie Sue is on her way to a great life!
MayBell’s human mom died and the family isn't able to keep her. This cutie needs a good home where she can hang out and enjoy life. No bacon inquiries.
After five wonderful months with her Foster Mom, Gracie was adopted by the perfect couple who will continue to spoil her! Thank you Eustis Veterinary Hospital for the care and love you have shown to Gracie and her Foster Mom.
These beautiful cats are still in URGENT need of their forever or foster home. They do not need to go together. Please help!
Have a Safe and Happy 4th of July🐾🐾
Mikey and Sheldon have been adopted!! A big thanks to Eustis Veterinary Hospital for taking great care of these little guys until their perfect forever home could be found! Also, a big thank you to my Pet Peace of Mind Volunteer Rita for giving them the perfect home. It only took minutes for them to train Rita to cater to their every desire!
Please have your pets micro-chipped before the Fourth of July and consider buying pet food instead of fireworks.
Thank you for sharing Hunter's Flyer. Hunter was adopted today by the perfect stay at home fur-ever mom!
Here are some good tips to keep your dog and child safe.
This is super important. Children and dogs need boundaries. Set everyone up for success. 🙏🏻
The summer heat has already started. PLEASE be aware and keep your pet's paws safe from hot surfaces.
Please help Hunter find his fur-ever home! Imagine how wonderful it would be to wake up to that adorable face every day!
Micky enjoys playing with Sheldon and loves laps and attention from his favorite person.
Our adorable senior male Chihuahua’s are still looking for their fur-ever home. These friendly little guys love to play and have fun! This bonded pair are up to date on vaccines. Micky (brown with short hair) is 13-years young and Sheldon (black with longer hair) is 10-years young. They are currently being fostered at Eustis Veterinary Hospital in Eustis Florida. For more information, please message or contact [email protected]
“Joys of Motherhood” Having puppies who love you and want the best for you is a special blessing.
We (the little joys) have all headed out to our new homes but our mom Baby (the one with big ears) still needs a special forever home. She is just 8 years old and the perfect size of 12-pounds. She is vaccinated and will be spayed. She didn’t have the opportunity to be loved and socialized and needs someone who understands dogs and is patient. She is fearful but not aggressive. She is more fearful around men. Baby is currently being fostered by AMC Animal Medical Center in Eustis. PLEASE help our mom by sharing this post. For more information contact [email protected] Cornerstone Hospice Foundation Chapters Health Foundation
A big thank you so our Cornerstone Hospice PAWS Therapy Dogs, Inc.volunteers for bringing love and comfort to grieving kids at our annual Camp Bridges grief camp.
Baby’s "Joys of Motherhood" continues:
No wonder I couldn’t get in my chair! Just two hours later I gave birth to six beautiful girls!
Dr Wilson at AMC Animal Medical Center stayed with me to make sure the delivery went well and of course it did.
The puppies are exhausting but they were sure getting heavy to carry around.
I knew it was almost time when I couldn’t even get on my throne! AMC Animal Medical Center
The joy of motherhood started with a little rest on my comfy chair (Baby's throne) at Animal Medical AMC Animal Medical Center BEFORE the babies come!
Sadly, we have lost several patients leaving beloved pets in need of a forever home. Anything you can do to help will be greatly appreciated. Penny and Sapphire would love to find their purrfect forever home. They do not need to be re-homed together. Please share❤

Tuesday’s Skywalker Chronicle: Anakin: It’s nice to be settling into our furever home, isn’t it? Vader: It sure is. It took a while for the right family to find us, but it was worth the wait. Thank you to everyone who followed Anakin and Vader's story. We're filled with joy knowing that they finally found a home.
When Leonor Haught was 91 years young, she adopted Izzy from a local shelter. That was seven years ago when Izzy was just 12 months old. A powerhouse of love and entertainment, Izzy became an extraordinary companion. As Haught approached her 100th birthday, our Cornerstone volunteers were excited to support her and Izzy. Their combined dedication continues to make daily life easier for Haught and her loyal companion. Protecting this bond of love, Pet Peace of Mind serves to enhance and respect the relationship between people and their pets at the deepest level. We actively advocate for the pet’s role as an important member of the caregiving team because in our mind, a pet is never “just a pet.” So we’re thankful to Haught, Izzy and our volunteers who make this possible.
Tuesday’s Skywalker Chronicle - Entry from Anakin There’s only one thing we love more than our Treat Mouse and that’s playing a game of hide and seek! I hid under the rug, AKA my blanket, and could you believe that Vader found me?! Oh well, guess I’ll try to win again once we finally find our new home with our new parents.
Stella is a beautiful little poodle who went through a very difficult time. Her mom loved and spoiled her as they grew older together. Then one day Stella’s mom died, and she was left scared and confused. Suzanne, a former volunteer for Cornerstone Hospice, saw Stella’s photo and came to her rescue. It was love at first sight but difficult for both Stella and Suzanne as Stella had some serious health issues. Stella’s new parents and 4-legged sister loved, spoiled, and nursed her back to health. A big thank you to LEASH, Inc from Stella, Suzanne, and Pet Peace of Mind for covering the expensive cost of Stella’s dental, spay and microchip! We couldn’t have done it without you! Enjoy this video of Stella and her sister Annie playing!
“The time has come for me to use the Force to get my treats from Treat Mouse! I just know it’s going to work. I just wish the Force would work to help find Vader and I a forever home. Until then, I’m going to use the Force to get Vader his favorite treat!”
