Little PSA & daily giggle, as we head into another work week filled with not only lots of itchy hair & stinky water, sweat, eye boogers & ear funk, flying toenails that typically end up in my pockets or shoes, slobber, p*e, p**p, a**l glands & in some cases even blood (yes MINE)

It's definitely not a glamorous job 🤣 so forgive me when I sometime (well ALWAYS) resemble a bridge troll as I hand u your sweet smelling well coifed canine companion ❤️

PSA for the day.... LET'S TALK ABOUT FLEAS 🚫🦟

Most of y'all know that I like to keep things as natural as possible with my own pets as well as my clients dogs. We are right smack dab in the middle of flea season so the question I get a lot is how do I put a dent in the flea population this time of year....

So here's a few tips & tricks I use:

1.) I run a whole house dehumidifier 24/7 keeping my inside humidity at or below 50% at all times. This kills all life cycles of the flea including eggs and larvae.

2.) sprinkle FOOD GRADE diatomaceous earth in pets bedding as well as in between couch cushions and even around baseboards. (Be careful not to inhale as it's not toxic but it is an irritant) You can also sprinkle it down your dog's back, but again be careful that neither of you inhale it.

3.) treat your yard with WONDERCIDE yard spray (they also make topical sprays for the dog as well as flea collars)

AND MY NEWEST & MOST EFFECTIVE WEAPON IN THE WAR ON FLEAS......

MSM powder sprinkled in their food. It's marketed for joint support but it's actually a naturally occurring sulfur that helps to make your pet less attractive to biting insects like fleas and mosquitoes. My big dog is a chow mix so she has super thick dense hair that in the past has always served as a sort of Trojan horse for those little vampires, especially because my landlord doesn't always do the best job with the yard care so it's an uphill battle this time of year to keep fleas off of her but since we've started the powder in addition to the other methods I'm no longer finding fleas on her or my little dog.

There is dosing information on the back of the package. You only give a small amount so that container will last you quite a while. In my opinion it's definitely worth it....

Keeping an eye on Camo, Bear, Paisley & Luna (& Sammy the cat too) while their family is away for a few days. They are such well behaved babies 😊 Nothing makes my heart happier than a well trained obedient and respectful pack. Mama has done such a good job with their training ❤️

Danny's mommy & daddy got married today! 👰🤵💒❤️🎉 Judging from all the toys he's got out in the house, I think he had his own little party lol

Astra's daddy was worried about leaving her because she doesn't do well with new people but she was SO happy to see me today which made me so very happy as well because we have been working on her socialization skills the last few weeks to get ready for her daddy being gone this week. She did amazing on her walk today too. I'm very proud of how far she's come. Astra used to be a resident of the City Of Taylor, Texas Animal Shelter but now she's living the good life with her daddy & 3 kitty siblings.
