So we’ve been a little quiet lately. Back in December, I had to take Spencer to the ER Vet late one night. She woke me up acting very strange….not wanting to walk…shaking…acting as if her stomach hurt very bad. I just knew something wasn’t right. We were at the ER for a few hours. I was very worried. They suggested I leave her there for an ultra sound in the morning(umm no) …Trust me, they did numerous tests on her. I wanted to take her home so we were cleared to leave after giving Spencer several shots for pain, etc….That’s where Elk Creek Animal Hospital took over. “Dr. Rohleder” requested a specialist (Dr.Spencer!) to do an ultrasound of her stomach. She was then put on meds and I was to bring her back for another Ultrasound by Dr. Rohleder a few days later to see where we stood. All checked out fine. Spencer has been under Dr. Rohleder’s care since the ER and today he ran tests on her blood and said everything came back just fine! The ER basically said the tests came back inconclusive the night I took her there. We aren’t completely sure what happened to her but she’s her normal happy self again(except at the Vets office..but we will work on that!). We want to THANK Dr. Rohleder and staff at Elk Creek Hospital for caring so much for Spencer (and all of their clients)! Spencer gave Dr. Rohleder some love today Thanking him for making her “all better!

This is how we spent Christmas Eve. 6 years in a row!

We had a visit from our local Santa and Nana Claus. They brought some members from the Spencer County Sheriff's office with them including the K-9 team; officer Julie Schmidt and the all famous, hardworking and adorable police dog Spencer. Thank you for all you do and for your visit here with our elders.

Here’s our “Top Dog” winner for the TES DARE class last Friday! His Dad said I could post these pics. Braxton truly earned this award. All of the students were great but he really stood out asking questions, answering questions, asking me to slowwwww down! lol Congratulations Braxton!

When you stop in, ask to meet Sheriff Ware as you are getting your calendar. Let him know what’s going on in your neighborhood or simply introduce yourself. He loves meeting new people in the community and listening to what their experiences have been with his deputies.
