First snowfall of the season! Horses all did great overnight. We do have spaces available for either geldings or mares (no cribbers). Must have good ground manners and be UTD on coggins and vaccines. Message for more information.

It's been a labor of love, but Beans and the goats now have their own outdoor shelter! Minnie Mouser even loved it so much she had to give Will Schafer a kiss 🥰. Many thanks to all who helped but a special thank you to our Aunt Ruth who helped during her vacation 🙌

Since her mugshot is becoming famous on Tecumseh Facebook groups lately, this is our introductory post to our barn cat: Minnie Mouser!

We rescued her from a Barn Cat Adoption Program for cats not suitable to living inside. Minnie is probably the most friendly barn cat you'll ever meet, but she despises two things: dogs and being stuck inside a house all day.

She's a free spirit that enjoys hunting, kids chasing her, and pretending she's homeless to get extra pets and treats. She is famous for being one of few cats that has escaped the Huron Valley Humane Society and they had to post a search ad to get her back.

She usually stays home at the barn where she's got her own food, water, and litterbox, but if you see this adorable face somewhere that she shouldn't be, please send her back our way. I can assure you she would be missed.

Fall is my favorite season at the farm. Crisp morning air and the leaves changing colors, but then it's warm enough to ride outside in the afternoon sun 🍁🍂

Vain was a charmer this evening. He was waiting at the fence for us and was unphased by my kids on the slide, climbing fences, and a large outdoor blanket blowing in the strong wind. He is available for adoption through Two Wild Hearts Sanctuary!

Did we just become best friends?! On loan to us from Two Wild Hearts Sanctuary is Vain a beautiful Standardbred Rescue (I mean come on his name is Vain). He's here to befriend our Old School Morgan, Bear (pictured on the left side). Introductions went splendidly and we are excited to have him here with us. If you're interested in adopting Vain reach out to myself or the Sanctuary and together we can arrange a meet up for your new best friend.

Reminder: September 30th is the pick up date for any desired services provided by Equine Laundry. They accept all equine laundry (blankets, saddle pads, wraps, etc.) If anyone local to us wants to be added to the pick up please let Sarah know ASAP.

Our newest farm hand has made his debut! We are so excited he is here (even if he did decide to arrive 17 days ahead of schedule). Sarah will be on a brief maternity leave, but don't worry, all of the horses are being well cared for. We will not be accepting new boarders for the remainder of this month, but will resume normal intakes at the beginning of October. We look forward to seeing you in the Fall!
