She’s lost everything she once loved. From the home she used to live in, the people she knew and even the dogs who were all part of her family. We don’t know how April ended up in a high kill shelter or why her people didn’t claim her or the 5 other dogs who were part of her family all we know is her life changed the moment she arrived through shelter doors.

4 of April’s canine friends were picked up by another rescue and the last tagged by a different rescue. This left April with nothing. No familiar faces, no dogs that she at least knew, no adoption interest and no hope of making it out. We can’t imagine how hopeless or heartbreaking that all had to be. So we offered her a lifeline. A way out, a chance at life and a foster family to lean on in her time of need.

April is safe because what would be without at least one life saved but there’s more……we just found out her last remaining friend was never picked up by the rescue who tagged him and so we are working on getting him out too and giving both forgotten souls the precious life they so deserve ❤️

What's up, everyone ?! I'm Honor. Let me tell you, I’m kind of a big deal around here. Why? Because I’m confident, spunky, and basically the life of the paw-ty. 🎉 You? Me? Walk into a room together and BOOM — instant good vibes. I haven’t met a stranger yet (seriously, everyone is my new best friend).

Now, I won’t sugarcoat it — I came from a pretty rough situation. Over 50 of us dogs were stuck in a hoarding case where things were… let’s just say, gross. But guess what? You can’t keep a good boy down! I came out of it smiling, tail wagging, and ready to live life BIG.

These days at Marley’s Mutts, I’m living it up. Running? Love it. Playing? Heck yes. Snuggles? Sign me up. I’m just looking for an active family (bonus points if you’ve got a canine buddy for me to wrestle with) so I can finally have the life I was meant for.

FREEDOM | NEUTERED MALE | PITBULL | 4 YEARS OLD
Freedom he’s as sweet as he is handsome. How could you not love his big mushy face?! Freedom is such a good boy who deserves the best life can give him. We’re here to ensure that his second chance at life gives him just that!

Despite his happy go lucky nature Freedoms life has not been happy or very lucky. This sweet boy was part of the 50+ dog hoarding case in California City. He was starved and forced to live in a tiny crate resulting in wounds developing on his lower extremities. A happy and active dog literally wasting away when he should have been saved. But Freedom was finally saved and has never looked back. He’s thriving at our ranch and is now healthy enough to find his forever home.

Freedom has a very high drive to please. He wants nothing more than the acceptance people give and is willing to work hard to get your approval. He can be ok with other dogs too but needs the appropriate introductions to ensure compatibility. Some canine energy levels make him a little unsure and uneasy. This big boy has been through a lot but he’s come out the other side on top! We can’t wait to show him how much better it can get from here by finding him his forever home.

Hi! I'm Harper. Once upon a time I was a stray girl just trying to survive… oh, and give birth to and raise seven wiggly little adorable puppies. Yep, seven. Don’t ask me how I did it — mom powers are real. Thanks to the street rescuers who saved me, and got me to Marley’s Mutts, my babies and I are safe, healthy and loved. All of my babies are now off finding families of their own. Which leaves me saying: “Hey… what about ME?!” 👀💕

A little about me:
✨ I’m a total goofball — the kind who will trip over my own paws and make you laugh every single day. Check out my pic of me sticking out my tongue for another example of my silly side.
✨ I loooove pets and belly rubs. If you’ve got hands, I’ve got the wiggles.
✨ Pretty sure I was meant to be a professional fetcher. I LOVE to play fetch!
✨ I like other doggies (just give me a slow intro so I can be on my best behavior...what lady doesn't like to take her time?
✨ Cats? No idea. I do have some prey drive but haven't been tested officially with cats, so don't want to rule them out completely.
✨Kids? I also haven't officially been tested with kids but I am such a sweetheart, I can't see kids being a problem for me— I’m just a happy gal who loves company.

We had an AMAZING weekend filled with love, laughter, luau and of course lots of lovable pups! 4 found wonderful forever homes and of course we have dozens more still waiting and hoping. Who doesn’t love a happy, wiggly, adorable little puppy! Meet these amazing littermates Hershey and M & M! These cute kiddos are all puppy all of the time. They have that exuberant zest for life we love to see in healthy pups and their puppy breath and kisses are intoxicating. Need a mood lift? These two are going to put you on cloud nine and we can guarantee there’s no way you won’t smile watching all their fun antics. They have no idea that life isn’t always grand and so much fun and we plan to keep it that way!

We know it’s hard to believe but puppy’s do end up on the euthanasia lists in public shelters. These 2 sweet souls were brought in as strays when they were 3 month old babies. Neither had any adoption interest and they sat for a month hoping and waiting. Our local shelters are inundated with puppies. No interest means eventually those puppies run out of time and the shelter has to make tough decisions. These babies ran out of their time and were added to the list. The list is public and one of our amazing fosters agreed to step up saving their lives.

These pups may have grown up in rescue but you wouldn’t know. They don’t remember their sad past and we won’t remind them. We are focused on their futures and finding them each amazing families where they can continue to grow, learn and become the amazing adult dogs we know they will be. Ready for the commitment that comes with raising a puppy? We promise that commitment will come with endless kisses, wiggles and probably a lot of fun! Seniors hold a special place in our hearts. To see a senior get left at the shelter is absolutely heartbreaking. They deserve comforting homes and soft beds.
Ella came into the shelter as a stray and no one came for her. She is 10 years old and people and dog friendly. She was severely underweight but has been eating lots of good quality food at her foster’s house and is gaining weight.

Senior dogs hold a special place in our hearts. Seeing seniors in the shelter is heartbreaking!
Ella is a 10 year old pup that came into the local shelter as a stray. Unfortunately no one came forward to claim her. We had a wonderful person step up to foster her and this sweet girl is doing amazing!
Ella was severely underweight but has been making progress gaining weight with the fosters. She is dog friendly and absolutely loves people! Ella is still searching for her forever home and we hope to find it soon!
