Dental – Disease Prevention
our previous post, dental disease can impact your pet’s kidneys, but it’s also preventable! Here are our top tips to help prevent dental disease and promote overall wellness for your pet:
Brush their teeth daily with pet toothpaste
Ask us about dental care products (oral rinses, wipes, dental chews, etc.)
Attend annual dental exams to identify any early signs of disease
Professional teeth cleanings should be performed at least annually

Pet Obesity Prevention
With January being National Weight Loss Awareness Month, we wanted to highlight the importance of healthy weight management for our pets.
Extra weight can predispose our pets to certain health conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancers, and more.

Pet Safety – Essential Oils
Winter is a popular time to make a home’s aesthetic extra cozy with aromatherapy using essential oils. Please be mindful that essential oils, ingested or inhaled, can be harmful to your pet, especially if they have pre-existing liver issues.
Signs of essential poisoning include:
Difficulty breathing
Uncoordinated gait
Drooling
Lethargy
Weakness
Muscle tremors
Mouth or facial pawing
Lip, gum, tongue, or skin redness or burns
Vomiting
If your pet is exhibiting any symptoms, contact us at 951-303-8260 for any questions or concerns or the Pet Poison Helpline (855-764-7661).
