My dog passed away in my dad's arms this morning seconds before setting off to the vet. later in the day, we went out to
clear our heads and I cried to my boyfriend in the seat she died in, just begging for a sign that she was okay. this is what I was blessed with 🥺🐾

My Mum is 89. A few weeks before Christmas her elderly dog died and she was heartbroken. She’d decided not to get another dog because she didn’t think it would be fair to a dog as she is disabled and doesn’t think she’ll live for long enough to outlive it. However, a dog rescuer that had rehomed dogs with her in the past, knew her old dog had died and when a little 12 year old dog came in who’s elderly owner had died, she phoned Mum and asked if she’d be interested. By then, she was feeling very lonely without a constant companion so said she’d give it a go and see how it went. As you can see by the photo they got on very well and are blissfully happy. Both of them have got a new lease of life and adore each other.

I adopted my child blind. He may be blind but he is no different than another dog. I tell him every day that he is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen, that he is unique and that I love him just the way he is!
I have a happy, healthy, confident and loving animal! Disabled animals can have well-being and quality deserve forever families! I never regretted adopting a blind animal. It was the best GIFT ever

At 17, his family left him behind, and he lost both his eyes due to infection. But when I discovered him, I adopted him without hesitation. Our lives transformed. Today, he's the happiest dog—playing, barking, running, and cuddling. He's our third child, and we express gratitude daily for his presence. Let's remember that senior animals deserve homes, families, and support during challenging times. 🐾❤️
