And this is just the beginning…
Last year, we didn’t see this many kittens needing rescuing this early in the year, so we know that it’s going to a very long summer saving homeless pets! 💪

Jenny and her puppies
Jenny’s story is just one of MANY that we experience during the excruciating spring/summer season…
Pregnant dogs and cats are on the streets and make their way to our shelter so they can safely deliver their babies, but there’s always a high cost, and sometimes, unforeseen medical circumstances 😞
Luckily, with the help of our foster family, Jenny was able to get to an emergency vet before it was too late. After 14 hours of labor, and over $3,000 in medical bills, her babies were delivered safely and they’re happy and healthy with mom until they’re old enough to be adopted at our shelter.
We’re expecting a large influx of these high-cost situations in the coming months, which is why we’re raising money NOW through Arizona Gives so we can save as many pet mamas and babies as we can 🥺 If it weren’t for our team, Jenny and her babies may not have made it.
