Earlier this week my family lost a truly beautiful soul. My sister Sonya will forever be missed and there won't be a day that goes by that feels normal without her. I just wanted to thank everyone who has reached out, your condolences are truly heartfelt in this heartbreaking time for my family and I. I also want to thank my amazing staff for continually checking on me this week and for keeping things afloat while I grieved and spent time with my family.

We have a new addition at Bark of the Town! Allurin will be joining our team this week! We would like to thank our wonderful clients for bearing with us these last few months. We have been much busier than normal and had to stop accepting new clients for a time so we could better focus on our current clients. Thankfully we are able to open our schedules again and have openings as soon as Wednesday of this week! And we are able to start accepting new clients again!🐾

We will be closed today due to downed power lines in my driveway and road. Consumers anticipates having the wires cleared in 5-6 hours. I'm very sorry if you had an appointment today, and I will call you in the morning to reschedule. Thank you for understanding.

At this time we are not taking on any new clients so we can better service our current clients. If that changes in the future we will let you know. We will be closed until January 3 to spend time with our families during the holidays, so if we get any messages during that time please know that we will get back with you when we reopen.

Tomorrow is Kaleigh's last day with us. We have loved having her as part of the Bark of the Town family and she will be greatly missed as she starts this next chapter of her life. That being said, we will not have as much open availability until we are able to find another groomer so please plan appointments well in advance.

In light of this new Parvo outbreak spreading across the state we wanted to send some information out. The state Veterinarian has confirmed it is Parvovirus and not a new or unknown virus. If your pet(s) is sick please stay home and reschedule your appointment when your pet(s) is feeling better.

We are going to require proof that all vaccines are up to date from now on. This is for the safety of your pet(s) and your neighbors pet(s). We will be practicing more frequent cleaning practices.

If your pet(s) is not up to date on vaccines Temperance Animal Hospital is booking vaccine appointments the first week of September. West Toledo Animal Hospital is booking vaccine appointments the second week of September. John Hermann's Mobile Vet Clinic has walk in vaccine clinics in Monroe at least once a week. PetVet has walk in vaccine clinics at Tractor Supply on Sundays from 4pm to 530pm.

We have a new face at Bark of the Town. This is a little about Kaleigh.

I'm Kaleigh! I just moved here from the Chicago-area. I've been grooming for about 3 years, but working with animals for the past 8 years. Before I became a groomer I worked as a veterinary technician and in rescue. When I was younger I was the child who was always bringing home strays, I have always loved animals and enjoy being able to care for them. I started grooming by chance, I was originally working as a bather in between vet clinics, which was supposed to be temporary but in my spare time I started shadowing and learning to groom and I discovered how much I loved it and decided to make this my career! I am very thankful for all the furry friends and wonderful people I've gotten to work with over the years and hope to see you and your fur-babies at Bark of the Town soon!
