Temperance Animal Hospital was established February 24, 1978. The hospital started as a one doctor practice and has grown into a modern full service hospital. Many of our employees and doctors are from this community and have chosen to serve the pets and people of this area.

Decluttering your linen closet? We are currently accepting donations of bath sized towels and pillow cases. These are 2 items that are used constantly throughout the day in the hospital and helps to keep our patient's comfortable during their visits and stays. We appreciate every donation!

Pool safety is something often discussed regarding young children, but the same rules apply for pets as well. Unsupervised pets near pools, especially in ground pools and ponds, are at risk for drowning. Even pools with covers over them have their own risks, such as entrapment. Always use caution around pools and supervise pets around and in the water. 🌊

A great reminder; Please, be kind to Veterinary staff. There are shortages everywhere for veterinary staff, from clinics to emergency hospitals. Know that we want to help you and your pets as swiftly as possible. Patience and understanding helps us do this effectively.

We strive to be as transparent as possible. Veterinary medicine is going through a shortage and it's affecting clinics across the nation. With that being said, we found out we are the only emergency clinic open tonight for the Toledo area. We brought in extra staff to help, but expect a wait. We will do our best to handle the increase in clients in a timely manner. Please be kind to our staff as we all are working together tonight to provide the best service to your pets.

Lindy came in for a Wellness Check Up with Dr. Smith recently. At almost 17, she is doing great! Lindy is 3 and 1/2 years in remission from lymphoma which Dr. Smith treated here at TAH. We love success stories like Lindy's!
