Tansy

I know sometimes these videos are tough to watch but they are so important to document a starting point.

This is Tansy’s first video with us the morning after she arrived.

Tansy and $5 Friday

What would you do if you were driving home and saw 2 feed sacks in the ditch? Steve’s wife stopped and looked and 9 little heads popped out looking at her.

Tansy was the smallest of the 9 and wasn’t able to use her hind end very well.

We didn’t have the room for all 9 but we did take her in because she was the most in need.

Tansy is so tiny compared to her other siblings. The other puppies are being fed, have had their first vaccinations, dewormed, defleaed and we are helping look for rescue, so next year this time there aren’t 90 puppies being dumped.

This little girl is eating well and we have added a few suppliments. She has also received Hydromassage Ozone baths and Red Light Therapy.

Evening play time.

There is nothing more relaxing than to sit back and watch the dogs enjoy the outdoors.

Pearl's Place has some great fully vetted dogs for adoption.

Wrangler, Captain, Tinelle, Shirley, Sawyer, Bruiser and Stitch.

These dogs are all most of our young dogs that are ready to go.

Nikki has always been one of our alusive dogs. Even though he has been handled from a puppy. Will he ever get adopted?

Nikki

This boy has quit the story and a history with us.

Back in August of 2022, he was found fending for himself, thin, hairless and needing a soft place to land. His age was guessed to be 6-8 weeks old and a whopping 9 #.

We took Nikki in so he could start his healing journey. He has always been a little odd, for a better word. I remember when he was a puppy it took him some time to want to play with toys. We bathed him and played with him and loved him but he never was a fan of human touch.

In October 2022, he was adopted and then returned 4 months later. Since that time, he has been here with us.

To this day he isn't a fan of humans. You can handle him, he has never offered to be cross but he rather play with his dog friends and humans leave him alone.

We thought at one time his finder had come to visit him and said she wanted to adopt him, but she never contacted us or followed through with that promise.

Nikki would do best in a home with a dog that needed a friend but the humans didn't have the desire to cuddle or pet him. He has spent time with us in the house. He will lay on the couch or the bed but the minute you try to touch him he leaves.

Will Nikki ever find his own home? I'm really not sure. It would take a very special and understanding person. I talked to our Vet about his behavior. I asked him if dogs can have autism. He explained to me that he wasn't sure, but it is usually diagnosed as Feral Dog Syndrome. Either way Nik will have a home with us. He is cared for on his level and he seems happy.

Sally

Our little girl is trying so hard to heal.

We go outside for a little standing time and potty time. She is not wanting to toe down to much at this time but that is completely understandable.

Multiple times a day we are massaging her leg to make sure that we don’t have any fluid trapped where to drain was removed.

Sally has an incision down the back of her thigh, also on the inside as well as a broken pelvis. A lot to endure for a little girl.

Finley

Finley was returned today through no fault of his own. He pulls on a leash, and it turned out to be too much for his adopter. Finley is a year-old pup and just needs some leash training. He's an amazing dog who loves kids, other dogs, toys and snuggles.

Finley may be small in stature for a Doberman mix but has a big personality. He's a happy young pup looking for a home with a family to call his own.
