PetResQ Inc. recently stepped in to help, rescuing a large group of these sweet pups.
Now, they’re safe — and looking for loving forever homes.

Overpopulation Crisis
Every 90 seconds, a cat or a dog is euthanized in the US because they don’t have a place to call home – 2,400 a year in New Jersey alone.
As a volunteer-led animal rescue, one of the phrases we dread saying the most is, “We have no room,” when presented with an animal who needs us. While we do everything in our power to find space through the incredible generosity of our supporters and fosters, every animal we cannot help is one too many.
And we are not alone. Shelters and rescues all over the country must make those impossible decisions despite their best efforts because they just don’t have the room. And there just aren’t enough homes for every animal who needs one.
It's becoming cost prohibitive for us to continue to take in these dogs. We have taken in appoximately 20 Frenchies from a puppy mill hell hole who all needed major medical intervention.
We know spay and neuter procedures save lives. That’s why every animal that comes through our organization, that is medically cleared and age appropriate, is spayed or neutered before they find homes. But, those crucial efforts come at an immense cost – approximately $100,000 annually. This is where we need your help. In 6 years, one pair of unaltered dogs can produce more than 65,000 puppies.
If you can't donate, then foster, if you can't foster then network and fundraise.
Can you join our fight to combat pet overpopulation and homelessness.
We need your support today.

Understanding Littermate Syndrome in Puppies
Bringing home two puppies from the same litter might seem like a great idea—they’ll have built-in companionship, right? However, many dog owners are unaware of the challenges that come with Littermate Syndrome, a behavioral condition that can develop when sibling puppies are raised together.
What is Littermate Syndrome?
Littermate Syndrome is a set of behavioral issues that arise when two puppies from the same litter (or even unrelated puppies of the same age) are raised together. These issues often stem from excessive bonding between the puppies, making it difficult for them to develop independence and proper social skills.
Signs of Littermate Syndrome:
Severe Separation Anxiety: Puppies become highly distressed when separated, making training and socialization more difficult.
Fearfulness: They may become overly reliant on each other, leading to increased anxiety in new situations or around unfamiliar dogs and people.
Difficulty in Training: Since they focus more on each other than their human, training sessions can become ineffective.
Inter-Puppy Aggression: As they grow, fights between littermates can become more intense, sometimes escalating into serious conflicts.
How to Prevent Littermate Syndrome
If you’re raising two puppies together, consider these steps to ensure they grow into well-adjusted, independent dogs:
Separate Training Sessions: Train each puppy individually to ensure they learn to focus on you rather than each other.
Encourage Independence: Allow them to spend time apart daily so they learn to be comfortable alone.
Socialization: Expose each puppy to different people, dogs, and environments separately.
Individual Bonding: Spend one-on-one time with each puppy to strengthen your personal relationship with them.
Should You Get Two Puppies?
While raising two puppies is possible, it requires significant effort and commitment. If you’re considering adopting littermates, be prepared to implement structured training and socialization strategies to prevent Littermate Syndrome.
By understanding and addressing Littermate Syndrome early, you can help your puppies grow into happy, confident, and independent dogs!

You can do it Bogey! Watch till the end to see how far Bogey has come 💜🐾💪#petresqincnj #adoptdontshop #bogey
We have an opportunity to shut down a horrible French bulldog puppy mill. We are fortunate to work with 3 other rescues who are like-minded and eager to get these babies out and learn how to be dogs. My birthday is Monday for my birthday. I would love if anybody would like to sponsor any of these dogs. So we can definitely take them into our program. Just to vet them will not be cheap and then we will need to spay and neuter every one of them.
