As we wrap up 2024 and plan for the new year we wanted to formally introduce our family (The Harris’s) to the internet! Many of you have seen us around and met us already if you’ve been to the barn. If that’s the case, you also know that Brett and Melody are still here and things are running just the same as they always have! So don’t worry!
Nothing on the day-to-day has really changed but we thought some of you might like to know who we are and why we purchased Stick Horse!
My name is Bobbi Jo, you’ve probably already seen me around the barn and at practice. I stay home for the barn, take care of the animals and homeschool the kids. My husband James is blessed to be around quite a bit too with his schedule as a firefighter with East Pierce. Our kids, the reason for us being here, are Jace(13) and River(9).
The big switch happened last spring and with almost a year under our belts we have been busy learning all of the ins and outs and continuing with practices and clinics.
Our kids both started their horse journeys with riding lessons, quickly found roping, and fell in love with it all. We were told if they wanted to be the best, Stick Horse Ranch is where we needed to go, and Brett and Mel were the coaches they needed to have. That was a few years ago.
The kids are now extremely passionate about Tie-Down Roping and Breakaway Roping but enjoy all of their rodeo events. River has also learned she enjoys sorting too!
We are thrilled to keep growing this Stick Horse family and keep the dream alive of the barn bringing in and helping people enjoy and grow in whatever area of riding that they love.
Of course, the property itself was a huge draw and the ability to host in the way that we can, but we truly believe in what Brett and Melody have created and their goals for this community. Their coaching, knowledge, and passion for all that goes on here is unmatched.
We are so excited for the future of the barn and everything we have already seen everyone here accomplish over the last year. We will continue to host practices and clinics, and grow this amazing community. Come join us if you want to improve your game, or are ready to get started.
