I loathe when people shrug off a dogs feeling of fear and say “they can deal with it, or they are fine” COMFORT YOUR F*cking dogs! The ones of you that leave them outside 24 seven in these awful weather conditions 🖕🏻! My girl Molly is terrified of thunderstorms ⛈️. We prepare by giving her meds along with loud music 🎵, comfort, and enrichment to help her go through her feelings.💓

Having a reactive dog isn’t easy by any means. I see you 👀 reactive dog guardians out there! ✋ High-five to y’all .
What many people don’t understand that do not have or maybe even if you do have these types of dogs is that they’re struggling with their feelings. They are not giving you a hard time. They are actually having a hard time. They need people with patience, love, And the willingness to want to understand how to address their needs. I have met many trainers over the years, for my own dogs as well as ones for my clients. I can only share with you my personal experiences and encourage a more understanding, compassionate approach to your dogs.
Buoy has struggled since day, one, and we knew that the day we saved her life becoming her foster for our friends @newyorkbullycrew . I was familiar with reactivity bc of Jetty, so I took on the challenge of Buoy. At first, she was just very scared of anyone and everything. It’s kind of amazing how she bonded immediately with Matt and I and just our two dogs. It is the most amazing feeling when a creature can trust you that much. These dogs are my soul dogs. In a world where I never really fit in, I didn’t have alot of friends, I was always different in the family(the weird one) they make sense. They see me and I see them.
Having Jess @rotndogtraining helping us, guiding us and supporting us has been a game changer. I feel like if you don’t have support then it’s a losing battle you need that support so always ask for it.
We got Buoy in October 2022 and my brother in law passed that December.. I blame myself for not being present for about six months of her being with us because I could barely get out of bed. Depression and grief engulfed my existence. Moving forward, she just became worse in her reactivity. I can’t tell you how many times I have cried and felt like a failure 😞. That being said, the lessons , the love, the trust and strength she gives me makes it worth the sacrifices. I have

#MemeCut Please be compassionate to dog owners whos dogs struggle and are just doing the best they can. Not every dog like other dogs or humans. You dont have to like everyone right??! These owner like myself work every day to help these babies build there confidence in the world. Having others just respect that and be kind is everything. If we are walking our leash reactive pup, we are training. In public placed its law to have your dog leashed.
If you see someone struggles with their dog and they are literally trying to get away from you ans the situation just respect that ans perhaps help out by going another way or waiting until they can gain distance? Being kind and compassionate isnt hard

I don’t know what else to do?!!!! She will be losing her 3 foster home!!! Everybody. She meets adores her and falls in love with her instantly I don’t understand why she just can’t find her forever home and it breaks my heart into 1 million pieces I promise this girl I would never give up on her and I would give her her princess life we saved her life from death row And I will never stop until she has a home.
Kalinka is the HAPPIEST BABY WUTH the Biggest heart! She is 6 years old and spunky! She loves the water and her splash pad more than anything and naps in the sun are her jam!
Kalinka is housebroken and well mannered.
Just like us humans, there are things she does not like … little dogs and dogs that are in her face.
She is currently in Wellington and We can set up a meet and greet!
Boarding is just like the shelter and it’s no place for our girl to have to go to. She dosnt deserve that! It would be like a punishment for her, and it just kills me.

If your feet burn 🔥 so will there’s! And for the love of God, do not take your dogs on a run in this heat !!! 🥵 your dog runs the risk of getting heat stroke, and that could be fatal.
Touch the ground with your hand, if you can’t keep it there more than 3 seconds it’s TOOOOO HOT!
Walk the babies early in the AM , and later in the evening.
Do pool time, indoor games and enrichment, splash pads are gold!
Educate your selves on heatstroke prevention for dogs 🐕
if you come in from Sirius temperatures and your dog is severely panting, do not, I repeat, do not make them drink water. They are trying to cool down and you can cause serious bloat, which again could be fatal. Wet there stomachs and paws. Wait 30 minutes to hydrate
