Join us tonite Tuesday, October 29th, 2024, at 5:00 pm at City Hall, to discuss the Overpass Project. This
largely federal and state-funded project, will benefit our community, but may come with some inconveniences.
We will be driving around detours and dodging dust clouds as construction continues for a couple of years. While the City will help, most of the cost appears to be with INDOT and EDIT funds.
Atlantis has been anticipating the project, as have other local residents and business owners for a few years. As you. may already know Atlantis will have to relocate.
We will sell our property because we are right in the middle of the proposed project. The amount we settle for will determine where we can relocate to, or possibly whether we can relocate at all. We are not planning to close Atlantis!
The representatives from the State have been very helpful and are having our property appraised for current values They have also been very helpful in explaining other funds to help us move.
We all should be glad, to be one of only five Indiana Cities to receive the funds for this awesome infra-structure improvement. We welcome the project managers back to Terre Haute .
I have personally been battling a flu bug (not Covid) for the better part of last week. I hope I am able to attend, and look forward to seeing you there!

If you only want to let these folks know how important Atlantis is, to your family and our community please
let them know. You might want to keep it brief and to the point (not something I am good at).

NEWS FLASH!

We are getting stock in slowly, We are glad to say that most of our suppliers in the area around Tampa have survived Hurricane Milton, and are shipping as usual. You should see lots of new fish in our tanks over the coming weeks. We did get ghost shrimp and most of the "feeder" items.
I need to mention that we are running low on RO water and are asking customers to limit their purchases to ten gallons until we restore our supply. We should be caught up by early this week.
On the news front, I can tell you that we are hearing updates on the planned railroad overpass which will take our building and most of the properties along 13th street and 8th Ave. There is a public meeting planned for October the 29th in the City Courtroom at City Hall at 6 pm. with an open house at 5pm. I will try to post more information for anyone who would like to attend.
I do want to thank all who have asked if we are going to re-open in a new location. I appreciate your offers to write letters or sign a sheet showing support for Atlantis. I know many of you have been coming here since you were kids, and you now bring your kids and grand kids to see the animals and feed the koi pond, and purchase supplies for your fish and pets. We are truly grateful for your support and I will try to answer questions with future posts, so please check back. Let us know how you feel about the project and your experiences with Atlantis.

We just got in 2 large Spiny Tail Lizards, 2 Yellow Belly Ball Pythons, 2 Cinnamon Ball Pythons, 1 Normal Ball Python, 1 Hurricane Lesser Bally Python, 1 small Veiled Chameleon, 2 Normal Corn Snakes, and a few African Side Neck Turtles! Be sure to stop in to check them out, and possibly take home your newest family addition! Store hours are Monday thru Saturday 2:00pm til 7:00 pm and Sundays from 2:00 pm til 5:00 pm!

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Labor Day weekend! We will be OPEN on Monday September 2nd, 2024 from 2:00pm until 4:00 pm for anyone who needs any last min. fish, reptiles, or fish food! We will return to our normal store hours on Tuesday.
