Willow is settling in nicely. She sure loves her new human sibling! Her first night she only barked for a little before falling asleep and they woke up to no messes in her kennel! She already goes straight to the door to go potty. She’s had a couple accidents but nothing major. She’s very loving and fitting in well! We love a good update 🩷🐾

Brutus is loving going to doggy daycare at K9.5 Training Academy! It’s so sweet to see his awesome report card. Brutus needed some exercise and his momma wanted him to keep socializing and be the sweet boy that he is so she signed him up for dayplay and he will be doing training in the New Year. This is a dedicated pet mom who took some of his challenges and is working with him to get through them. She didn’t throw in the towel because he can be a little tornado 🤣🐾but we love him and she loves him so much!

If you all don’t remember Brutus’s story here is a short version: He was seen on a ladies camera in the middle of the night being dumped from a car with his leash. In the morning the lady found him still outside in her yard with the leash and she posted to the missing pets site. Later that day, I saw Paula post about the dog being in the cemetery so I met her there with a hot cheeseburger in hand. We didn’t have an open kennel but I won his trust with the cheeseburger and I FaceTimed Aaron and he said “well you have to bring him home.” And we fell in love with his fat head. 💙🐾

Ya all remember the cat my foster picked up yesterday from Sycamore Terrace apartments….well then property manager called and there was a screaming kitten who looks identical so foster now has two cats 🤣😩😅We also had big guy checked out today because in over 24 hours he wasn’t using the bathroom and they got him to p*e at the vet so keeping an eye on that 🐾Big guys name is Bean and I’ll wait for foster to keep me updated on the little ones name!

Holly had a wonderful Christmas and is doing well! She’s having a little separation anxiety and is not having the crate 😅She’s made a little trip to see her cousin doggies out of town and did wonderful. We’re so happy for her 🩷🐾She is doing well on her potty training and sleeps in a king size bed.

I’m going to need everyone’s help on this one. Jenkins’s Foster family has a family emergency in Alabama that they could potentially be gone up to 8 weeks for. Jenkins has been under the rescue since September 12th so almost 4 months. Fosters have been nothing but amazing and love him so much and if they didn’t have small dogs, they probably would have kept him.

Jenkins is a character and is so funny 🤣He does well with kids but is a jumper. He hasn’t minded the Foster’s cat but does not like the small dogs, unsure if a big dog would be okay BUT also he loves all the attention and would do well as an only animal. Jenkins is currently going through heartworm treatment and he will get his 2/3 shot in the next week or 2. Jenkins took the first injection really hard so I imagine the next two will also be rough on him.

I would like to get him into a foster to adopt home prior too so he is not recovering in our kennels. I am willing to get him signed up for training with his new owner to work on his leash/jumping manners because he is a strong dog. He will need a family who can handle him pulling when needing to walk him somewhere. He rides in a car well.

Jenkins wants to be loved like all these animals, he just craves human connection. Whoever adopts him,
will be adopting their best friend. He thinks he’s a lap dog lol. He is currently on meds for his heartworm treatment too. He does well in his kennel but barks at first to calm himself down. He loves bones and toys that keep him busy in the kennel. Toys will go with him to his new home. He is neutered and up to date on shots, just working on getting through the heartworm treatment.
He’s a very handsome dog around 2-3 years old.

What he looked like the first day to now is a huge difference. Scroll to the last pic to check it out.

If anyone wants to do a meet and greet, I’m available the next 3 days. He’s such a loving boy who deserves a family of his own.

Please even if you cannot adopt, share this post and the right person might be able to give him the home he deserves.

Thanks Kim for picking up sweet Elsa from IACS Rescue today! She was set to be euthanized at 6pm today but she kept weighing on my heart so I emailed them on Christmas that I want to pull her. This girl has been through HELL and back. She had bite marks, scratches and wounds that resulted in losing one of her eyes. This girl got her Freedom Ride and she’ll now know love from here on out. I can’t wait to get off work and meet you!!!

We have had such a good month of adoptions! We are getting Elsa girl today from IACS and we’re so excited. I have the next 3 days off to work with her and get to know her. We have more animals getting fixed coming up so we can get them adopted! We still have fully vetted cats and dogs who would love a home for the New Year!

Batman is now Hurricane (Kane) for short. He had a really good Christmas with his family and met new people and did great! His confidence has started growing and he’s become a part of the family. His furry siblings have allowed him to have a spot on the couch lol He loves to dig his family has learned 🤣We are so thankful that they didn’t give up on him and got him through the tough patch. 🎄🐾

Big Momma was not a cuddle girl when she was at rescue but she’s the cuddly cat in her forever home! Give the shy cats a chance when you meet them, sometimes our kitten room is just over stimulating for them 🐾
