Caught this Rascal casin' the place this morning and stopped it in its tracks!!! Finally got our 10 new Guinea Fowl grown and felt confident enough to release them from the coop this summer, and unfortunately we are now down to only 3 left. Guinea are GREAT Alarm Systems! They were making such a ruckus out in our pasture early this morning and alerted us that we had a Coyote. We've still got that Fox on the loose that picked off A BUNCH of our Chickens a while back though! Varmints BEWARE!!!

Well, it's a sad day here at the RockinB88 Ranch! I wish it was just another one of those bad idioms I like to use, but the last couple of nights, unfortunately, there has been more than just the proverbial "Fox in the Henhouse" Said Fox has been caught on our barnyard cameras causing mayhem and destruction and has wiped out about half of our flock! Our egg production has already been extremely low here of late and now this!!! This is the 2nd time since 2015 that this has happened! The 1st time it was Coyotes! Time to start rebuilding the flock!!! 😠 😡 😤

3 TAMUK-Composite Bunnies ready for they're new home. TC's were bred by Texas A&M University - Kingsville and were bred for two main reasons: coat color variety and heat tolerance. They were also designed to be hardy, vigorous, high-producing, heat tolerant, and good for backyard meat production. TC Rabbits are typically ready for processing when they reach 5 pounds, or around 10 weeks of age. Also, the benefits of using Rabbit 💩 in your garden is excellent!!! Please PM me, if interested.

Zora is almost 2 Yrs old now and she is so smart! Paul's been working with her on this new trick and the "Hold" command for a while now and she's finally got it down. She didn't like it at all at 1st, but now she is taking it like a Champ!!! She even completed the "Hold" command for me ealier today. She's a Pro!!! 🏆 #GSD

***RockinB88 Ranch Pond Update*** This morning we discovered a pair of Canadian Geese who've stopped by for a little visit. VERY COOL!!! 😃 Also, the Black-Bellied Whistling Ducks must be telling all their friends because the numbers are growing! Apparently the RockinB88 Ranch is a popular hangout nowadays... Who knew??? 😆 🤣 😂 😹

Trying something different today with our new flock of chickens 🐔 that we aquired last week. I just hate throwing away all this Sourdough Starter Discard, so I added some seeds to it and gave this a try... Thanks to Chelsea for the idea! 😊 P.S.: Yeah, I know I'm supposed to be baking with this stuff, but this Gal has been one very busy Chick herself lately... 😆 🤣 😂 😹

Spring seems to have sprung just a little earlier than normal in North Texas, so it was a "Let the planting begin" kinda day at the Ranch yesterday. After last year's Pond improvement Project was completed, we decided a Bald Cypress tree would look beautiful at the far end of the pond. So, we bought a 30 gallon BC tree from O'Neal's, a local tree farm here in Terrell. It is about 11 ft tall right now and has the potential to reach up to 60-80 ft tall. They are a slow growing tree and love lots of water. Here's hoping it thrives and grows tall here at the RockinB88 Ranch

Thanks to the good Lord for the rain we received at the end of October which topped off our new and improved pond nicely, we are finally able to begin the process of restocking our pond!!! 😃 🐟 🐠 🎣
