Dito is a handsome 3 year old hunk at 76 pounds who is very sweet with all the people he meets. He can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly! His military owner was commissioned overseas, so he was surrendered to the shelter. He has ignored other dogs, and is open to meeting other dogs with proper introductions. He loves toys and will bark to get you to play and swap out for new toys. He would do well with older kids pending a meet and greet. There must be a family out there who can provide this wonderful dog a great home! 🐶🐾🏠

-Did you know November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month?

-Senior pets have a lower adoption rate which makes their shelter stay much longer than younger dogs. They often come to the shelter after living a lifetime in a home and already are used to having a family making the transition during adoption easier.

-Pet ownership has been proven to reduce loneliness, lower blood pressure and improve physical and mental health.

-Senior pets need people, and senior people need pets! Beginning Nov 1st, we will introduce "Seniors For Seniors", where residents 60 and over can adopt senior cats & dogs (age 6 and up) at a reduced fee of 50 percent.

The age range of our residents varies daily so please check on availability of senior pets for this program. All pets will be neutered/spayed, vaccinated and chipped before adoption.

Cola was surrendered with the rest of her littermates when their owner passed away. They are 4.5 months old now. She weighs 4 pounds now, but she still has some growing to do. The big ears show the New Zealand part of her heritage, while her fur is from the Rex side.

As soon as Popcorn comes out of his cage for exercise he "binkies" for joy. He is friendly, enjoys company, and is very fastidious about keeping his soft, creamy white fur clean. Popcorn was surrendered with the rest of his littermates when their owner passed away. They are 4.5 months old now. He weighs about 3.5 pounds now, but he still has some growing to do. The big ears show the New Zealand part of his heritage, while his fur is from the Rex side.
