🎉🥳Surprise!!! 🎂🎈
Happy belated birthday to Dr Murray!🎶
With it being National Immunization Awareness Month, we asked Dr. Murray to give us an explanation of Westridge’s approach on immunizations from puppy/kitten into adulthood. Listen to find out what we believe is most important when it comes to keeping your pet healthy!
Amber comes back to work for us every summer and we love having her here for many reasons... one being her (not so) hidden talent of a sponge bob impersonation 😂🤣
She’s going into her first year of vet school at OSU this fall and we couldn’t be more proud of her!
Happy Fishing Friday!!! We know it might come as a shock, but Westridge is a great place to fish. Dr. Murray is seen here “fishing” for a rare, wild species known as “Tarzan.” TBD on whether he catches him... We’ll keep y’all updated.
Let's go into the week like Miss Ruby! ✨ Ruby came in for her semi annual exam and proheart injection and gave us quite the entertainment by walking around like this! She's a talented 17 pound "toy poodle" and can even walk backwards. Happy Monday! 💕
🖤Theo🖤 apprehensively coming out to let Dr. Murray give him his 3rd and final kitten exam ✔️
⭐️During the 3rd visit, kittens are given their rabies immunization. This is just another reason why it’s crucial to follow through all kitten (and puppy) visits in order for your new pet to be set up for optimal health into adulthood!
Smokey and Cleo are taking in their surroundings on their first kitten visit! 🐱 By their 3rd visit, we’re sure they’ll be excitedly jumping out of their carrier to see us 🥰
New kitten visits are just as important as new puppy visits! During first kitten visits we:
⭐️ Perform a thorough physical examination
⭐️ Check for intestinal parasites (worms) and other common parasites (fleas, ear mites)
⭐️ Administer first series of immunizations (FVRCP - common viral diseases of cats)
Kittens go through three series of immunizations one month apart to include Feline Leukemia on the second visit and Rabies on the final kitten visit. It is SO important for kittens to return for all visits so as to assure immunity against these common diseases. Call us to schedule an appointment! 903-838-9572
Westridge family, we need your help naming our newest staff member in training! 🐱
⭐️Win a free bath or nail trim if you suggest the name that receives the most "votes" (likes).⭐️
Don't worry, Striker is not retiring... yet (some might say he already has with his current work ethic 😂). But he is vigorously training his protégé as you can see in this video. This little firecracker 🧨 is a male that was brought to us by someone that picked him up after spotting him in the middle of the road as cars were driving right over him. It's safe to say, he is adjusting quite well to his new home at Westridge. We've given him a forever home, but we need your help giving him a forever name! Help us out by either commenting suggestions or voting (liking) on the name you think fits him best. 💙👍🏻😸
Bonus points for creativity!
