We had a fun trip to the Spring HRC International Grand in Omaha, GA. We passed 5 dogs and unfortunately lost a few along the way to day 5. I would like to thank everyone that helped make it possible and the clients for trusting us with their dogs!

Picking up passes:

Last but not least is a very special one and this will be his last as he retires from the Grand! Oh how I owe so much to this dog for all he has done for me and taught me over the years. Bill is truly a special animal!! This pass marks his 10th time passing the most difficult hunt test there is!

The MWR crew has had a busy month between the HRC International Grand in Kentucky and Master National in Georgia!
We had a great time at the Grand besides the house that the group had booked! We were lucky enough to pass 3 dogs and achieve two new Grand titles.

Happy International Dog Day!! We are blessed that everyday is dog day around here and that so many trust us with their pet/athlete as well.

We made a trip to Sooner AKC and then on up to Flint Oak to run three Master tests in May. The crew went 21 out of 24 for the trip which helped to get a couple more qualified and several more are really close. Big thanks to the clubs and judges for putting on great tests with great hospitality!

We’re way behind on posts so we are going to play catch up over the next week and start with the Grand! Stay tuned…

We had a great time at the HRC International Grand in Georgia. Unfortunately, we didn’t pass as many as we had hoped to! I had a couple go out day one that we sure didn’t see coming and then we carried the remaining 6 in to day three where a few had some problems. On day four one of the three left came unwound unfortunately and that left two going to the 5th. I have a lot of folks to say thank you to for stepping in on day 5 to help! That morning I noticed Bill was in severe pain and couldn’t p*e. Luckily there are great folks at the Grand and I met The Duck Dog Doctor, PLLC at the test site for him to see what was going on. He checked Bill before we went off to Auburn University for X-ray, ultrasound and labs. They examined him, got him out of pain, and where he could travel home.
I left my trailer with the other dogs at the test site so they weren’t having to travel extra. A big thanks to Jim for watching them and even stepping up to run Maggie for her first Grand pass. I can’t say thanks enough and how much that means not to have to worry about missing a run while I was worried enough for Bill. Thanks to the Grand committee and Tracy for allowing Bill the chance to be able to try and run the upland when I got back that afternoon to get the rest of the dogs. I really didn’t think Bill would be able to do it but it sure was amazing to watch him give what little energy he had to complete it and get pass number 9. After that I headed straight home getting him to our vet and figuring out that the cause was a bladder infection. Luckily with some antibiotics and rest he was back to his self again in a few days. Once again I can’t say thank you enough to everyone that has called and sent messages to check on him and offered to help out.

Happy New Year! We were blessed in 2022 and look forward to all to come in 2023. It’s been great seeing and hearing how the MWR crew has done this hunting season. We’ll be back on the road for hunt tests soon, but we will cherish the hunts for now and look forward to getting our hunt test crew back soon. Thanks to everyone that has supported us whether it’s by trusting us to train and care for your best friend or by simply sending others our way!
