As the year draws to an end, Pets With a Mission would like to send out a huge "thank you” to all of our volunteer teams, and also to all of the wonderful people that we’ve worked with in 2018. We had a truly amazing year, with 44 visits to elementary schools, high schools, colleges, summer camps, fun runs and charity events throughout 2018, and 130+ teams volunteering at those events. In addition to those special events, our teams made regular visits to libraries, hospitals, schools, and senior care centers throughout our area. Our volunteers spent many hours this year conducting practice drills and evaluations, and they worked very hard to ensure that each animal was ready when duty called. Thank you, everyone, for all that you do! We appreciate each and every one of you and your willingness to serve, and to improve the lives of others. Thank you for sharing your four-footed friends with our community, and we are looking forward to a New Year and new opportunities!

Montgomery Pet Partners volunteers hold regular mock drills for prospective therapy dog teams. The drills give the handlers and their dogs a chance to experience what the actual evaluation will be like. It's a great opportunity for existing members to practice for their renewals as well. As always, we would like to extend our thanks to Forest Shadows Pet Resort for the use of their facility!

MPP Therapy Dog Lily knows that baths are a must the night before a therapy visit! Tomorrow marks Lily's four year anniversary working with seniors in assisted living and memory care at the Village retirement community!
