Thank you to THE BEST volunteers! Holidays are no different for cattery. The cats need to eat and the cattery needs to cleaned. These women come out ready and work in the heat with no complaints. It’s all about the cats! I thank each one of you!

An update on a cattery adoption from 9 years ago ! This baby was from a large shelter pull 10 years ago . Pulled as a kitten and adopted by this man a year later. The owner sadly passed away but shared many years of love spoiling Nunnie. His daughter kept her promise to him and took his beloved cat into her home. We so love these updates.

Update on Ray Charles ; he needed both eyes removed and came through the surgery great despite being so little and young. He is back with his foster and healing and growing fast. All his other senses have become heightened and they’ll continue to grow also. He’s running, climbing and playing consistently. Thank you to each one of you who donated to his surgery and sent prayers. He’s thriving!

This is Ray Charles who went to a clinic for euthanasia. A cattery volunteer saw him and knew his life was worth saving . She saw in him what others didn’t , a will to live! He’s so spunky and smart and full of play. He went straight to a foster for feeding, litter training and love. He flourished in her care until an emergency came up and his eye got worse. He was rushed to a clinic for the emergency care he needed. After discussions with his doctor and a specialist hopefully he can have his eye removed on Monday. We know he will lose the bad eye and possibly both eyes but we are prepared for that. Blind cats adjust very well and their other senses become heightened which we see happening already.
We need funds (help) to pay for his surgery. Any amount will help . He will go into foster care after surgery until adoption. Please consider helping this helpless baby . We have Venmo , PayPal or you can mail us at 512 B St. Mary Street Thibodaux , La. 70301

IN NEED OF A SUNDAY VOLUNTEER! We need a committed volunteer on Sundays. Time would be from around 8:00a.m. to 9:30-10:00 a.m. you would not be left alone . At least 2 other volunteers would be with you! It’s not hard work if you like/love cats . Duties would be possibly scooping some boxes, sweeping , washing food dishes, wiping counters , refilling water bowls, refilling auto feeders. Simple work. The cats are not caged but they free roam in 3 areas. It is not climate controlled but they have fans and heat. It’s very rewarding work . Contact us here on this thread if interested.
