N'SYNC and several of his best buddies will be traveling to MATTHEWS.

TOMORROW, Friday 10/25 we'll be at the Matthews Government Complex (by Walmart) from 11am- 2:30pm.

$100 dog adoptions include spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccines. We'll also be offering FREE MICROCHIPS for all resident pets!

So come on by! We'd love to just chat about our program and meet your four-legged babies.... and this dude needs some extra head scratches...

We have tried to avoid this for as long as possible…

Unfortunately, it is not safe nor effective for our main location on Hwy 3185 in Thibodaux to remain open at this time. We are hopeful to reopen our doors in two weeks!

That being said, our adoption trailer will be hitting the streets! This Friday, we will be back at the Matthews Government Complex 11am-2:30 doing mobile adoptions and FREE pet microchips for all residents. If your business has lots of foot traffic and would be interested in having our team set up with adoptable pets on week days through lunch hours, we’d LOVE to travel a bit further South! Our phone lines will remain open during normal business hours (10am-4pm), but services, including non-emergent stray intakes WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE at this time. We are currently without public parking, sidewalk space, or fencing.

It's happening Lafourche Parish! Thibodaux Police Department and Lockport Police Department have agreed to install Microchip Scanning Stations at their office buildings. The finder will be able to DIY scan for a chip (24/7) on a lost pet and become part of reuniting it with its family. If you would like to help us with this endeavor, please donate to LASI for the required equipment purchase (scanners, retractable reels, waterproof boxes, signage).

Huge thanks to these agencies for improving lives for the pets in the parish.

Whenever you feel guilty about not giving your dog the best life, whenever you feel like you are working too late while your dog is at home, whenever you think about surrendering your dog because you “can’t give them the life they deserve”, just look at this picture of kennel manager Trevor Denham and the team at The City of Mobile Animal Services getting ready for dinner time. You can see one dog with his paw out waiting for his food. For these dogs locked in their kennels, this is the highlight of their day, they have absolutely nothing. Your dog would much prefer being on your sofa waiting for you to come home, rather than being stuck in here, I promise you are doing just fine. Keep them home where they belong.

As you may have noticed, our homebase is going through a facelift!

We are SO EXCITED to be nearing the end of this project, but with that, comes some logistic challenges. We will not be able to use our front door entrance through the weekend, so we've decided bring the dogs to YOU!

TOMORROW, 10/11 -- 🐶Adoptable Dogs will be available for SAME DAY ADOPTION at the Lafourche Parish Government Complex in Matthews 11am-2:30pm. Adoption fees are waived! No pressure to adopt-- just come out and enjoy the sunshine and some pups!

FREE MICROCHIPS will also be available for all resident pets during these hours in Matthews.

Cats and kittens are available at PetSmart Houma. 😺

AMARILLO is a 5 year old female Dane mix waiting (not so) patiently for her forever home at LPAS.

Amarillo is a smart and human oriented girl, and she’s not fairing well in the kennel here. We need to find her an adopter quickly.
