ISO Fosters🤍
Nala was very excited to open her gift from SantaPaws 🐾🎄
She would really love to spend NYE in a home- could that home be yours? We are looking for a foster to help us learn more about this gal. When you foster animals you help us place them in the best forever homes. Fostering and getting the animals into homes shows us more of the animal’s personality than what they are willing to show us in the shelter setting. You help ensure a successful, happy, long life! If you are interested in fostering Nala or any of the animals at TCAS, reach out! We would be happy to talk you through the process, share success stories, etc.! It takes a team and our team is INCREDIBLE! Come join us🐾

Floki is a fun loving guy who loves treats! He would like a family that enjoys adventuring. He is petite guy who could easily come along for all your activities! Imagine how cute he would be in a little backpack on your next family hike! 🥾 🎒 🐕 #fosteringsaveslives #tcas #shelterdogs #adoptdontshop

Our awesome partners Misfit Hounds are helping Hunter live an awesome life-- we need your help to fund his desperately needed dental care so he can be comfortable! This sweet boy is so deserving. Please help if you are able!! You can donate directly to the Friends of the Tucker County Animal Shelter PayPal at www.tcanimalshelter.org
Matilda is 70 lbs of love and snuggles! She loves butt scratches and has especially enjoyed spending the day in the office with me! This chunky couch hippo is so affectionate and will make someone a wonderful companion.
Matilda has not had many interactions outside of the kennel setting with other dogs, but has done well on parallel walks with other canines.
She lived in a home with cats in the past, and has spent time in the cat shelter with us and is not reactive towards cats in our observations.
She is house trained!
Matilda is a big girl, and would benefit from shedding several pounds.
Here's what you get when you adopt Matilda:
Full vetting package-- she is spayed, current on core vaccines, treated for internal and external parasites, heartworm negative, and microchipped with free registration for life.
Four weeks of FREE training through our partners at Goodpup!
SPONSORED adoption fee-- a donor has paid her adoption fee to ensure she does not sit in the shelter for an extended period of time!
Matilda is a pittie mix. Unfortunately, the reality in the US is that dogs that look like her have extremely long lengths of stay. Whether it's because of discriminatory breed specific legislation or the stigma that surrounds dogs with big, heart-shaped heads or the fact that pit mixes are the most commonly, irresponsibly bred dog in the country, they also face much higher rates of euthanasia in shelter. Please keep Matilda from spending weeks and months in the shelter, set up a time to meet this sweet girl to see what being loved on by a bully breed is all about!

A few moments of our behaviorist, Chris, working with Matilda. We do our best to evaluate each dog while they are with us so that we can find them the best fitting home.
