Well. ELLIE had herself an amazing spa day and is ready to find her new loving home.
We believe she is about 1 1/2 years old and is a mix of possibly a terrier/Sh*tzu.
She loves affection and is a very very sweet girl. We do not know how she will react with other dogs.

If interested please contact the Thomaston Animal Control at 860-283-4343.

🌟🌟UPDATE!!!! Star and Bella are home!🌟🌟
They had of enough adventures and were ready for a good meal. They waitrd patiently at the house until dad returned from his search for them. They did not venture far, sightings came in the night they went missing and this morning,
All not too far from their home. Welcome home girls. Sit !Stay! You had your family very worried. They searched day and night along with your fur siblings, all just desparately wanted you both home safely. Thank you so much for everyone who shared, called in sightings, or let us put up a feeding station and camera in your yard. Thank you CTDGRV lead Carol who provided guidance and CTDGRV Laura and Debbie who hiked, followed up on sightings, and put up posters and the feeding station. Great ending

Missing in Thomaston. These bonded girls got out of the yard and were last seen near the Thomaston High School. People and police tried to help but they ran from everyone. They are friendly but skittish dogs. To help bring them home safety please do not chase they will run and possibly move out of a known area. Call the family immediately with the exact location. Do not try to get their attention. The family will come out with their other dog which they are bonded. Please do not post the sighting call the number on the flyer. The family is devastated and just want them home. Please share

***PUPDATE***

“Ellie” is now ready for adoption!

This poor lost baby was found all alone roaming in Thomaston last week. She was hungry and scared with her hair all dirty and matted. It took a few days for us to gain her trust. She has come out of her shell and loves to play with her ball. She knows “Sit” and doesn’t appear to have a mean bone in her little body. We gave her a bath in attempts to clean her up for some puppy glamour shot pics😊 but more work needs to be done. This dog is an absolute ❤️heart breaker❤️ and wants to be loved. For more information or to make an appointment to see Ellie, contact Thomaston Animal Control / Police 860-283-4343

☀️PSA WE ARE ENTERING A HEAT WAVE! ☀️

This week it is expected to be extremely hot! Please take note that this could be very hard on your pets, and you may have to make some changes to your daily routine!

🐾 Walks should be early morning and late evening when it's a bit cooler/shaded. NO walking on the pavement during the day - you can burn their paw pads!
🐾 NO leaving them in the car while you "quickly" run an errand, we do not tolerate it, and you will face a misdemeanor if your dog shows signs of distress.
🐾 Limit the time they are outside in the yard, and be sure they have access to CLEAN, cool water at all times. You should NOT be leaving your dogs outside all day while you go to work.

Please contact Wolcott Animal Control at 203-879-7620 or Wolcott Police Department. Let's keep our pets safe !!!!!

🐶We have to ask you all a favor again.🐶
We are really swamped with lost dogs. We appreciate everybody’s support, but we ask that you do not tag us and refer us on every single lost dog out there. We ask that you share these tips with the lost dog owners.
Give them time to do their due diligence first. We are so busy with lost dogs and many times we get these tags from people who constantly refer us to the owners. In many situations, by time we call the owner, they may have already found their dog. This takes up a lot of our time having us to go through the process of getting all their information reaching out to the lead in their area and then calling them. Just giving them a little bit of time to do some searching on their own and for them to contact animal control they may find their dog on their own.
If they don’t have any luck, they will know to reach out to us.
We see all these lost posts with multiple people referring our group.
Most Animal control officers will refer us if they don’t have luck when helping the family find their dog.
We appreciate you all very much. We just ask that you just share these tips at first. This will be a huge
We really do appreciate all of you very much. We just get very overwhelmed. We care about every lost dog out there.

Please - next time you want a furry or feathered friend - adopt - don't shop. Approximately 7.6 million companion animals enter shelters every year. When you adopt you save two lives - not just one. Remember though, having a pet is a lifetime commitment. Don't do it if you're not sure.
