🐈🐾 Kimchi is ready to find his forever home! 🐾🐈

Kimchi is a very sweet boy who came from a litter of kittens in my apartment complex and had been living outside for some time before I was able to socialize him enough to touch him. He has been fully vaccinated (next shots not due until January 2025), neutered and microchipped. He has a pet insurance policy through Trupanion, which costs around $32 a month and can be transferred to the new owner. We also have enough heartworm prevention for him until his next vaccinations are due in January, all of that will be sent with whoever adopts him!

He has the most amazing demeanor of any of our foster kitties, he has adjusted to being an indoor kitty so well, with no issues using the litter box and no behavior concerns. He gets along great with our two personal cats and he absolutely loves cuddles! He lets us brush him, trim his nails and even shave out any mats that he might form from playing too hard.

Kimchi needs to stay inside only from now on! He has shown no interest in returning to outdoor life, but regardless, we never adopt out to anyone who will allow the kitties to be outdoors. Even if you have a lot of area for them to roam, we have seen too many horror stories of cats that wandered a bit too far. A vet reference will be required before adoption!

Full disclosure, he has had a few health concerns that we have been investigating, these can be discussed further for anyone who is interested in him. Definitely has not been anything too serious, and this is definitely the reason we recommend keeping him on Trupanion!

This is Wonton (Orange tabby male) and Dimsum (Grey tabby female), a couple of the feral cats I have been caring for for awhile. They are both fixed and have had Rabies and Feline Distemper vaccines updated.

These cats were trapped underneath our apartment building and the exits were purposely blocked off. Animal control will be called tomorrow to see what we can do about our leasing office purposefully keeping the kitties from food and water, but in the meantime a more urgent situation is that they need somewhere to go ASAP!

We cannot leave them in our apartment we already have three other cats here and the cage we have them in currently is very small. They have been 100% outdoors up until now so I anticipate a rough few days while they try to acclimate to being in a crate. For now they are at least safe and warm.

If you know anyone who has a barn or other area that could provide shelter for these cats please reach out ASAP!! We absolutely cannot keep them here with us even though we wish we could.

🐈🐾 Kimchi is ready to find his forever home! 🐾🐈

Kimchi came from a litter of kittens that first showed up outside my apartment in August 2022. For those of you who have seen my post about Wonton, that is his brother. Kimchi took a while longer to warm up to me than his brother Wonton did, but once he finally started letting us pet him he could not get enough. He gets jealous if anyone else is getting a drop of attention that he isn't getting! He's a very talkative kitty and he has been great letting us to everything from vet visits and physical exams, to shaving mats from his coat and brushing him and even trimming his nails. Almost nothing seems to bother him. He does get along with other cats but we think he'd do best in a household with no more than one other cat, preferably none. He of course is not a fan of dogs and we haven't had the opportunity to check his ability to tolerate children.

He is an INSIDE ONLY cat! Yes he was born outside and grew up out there but since mid-November 2023 he has been strictly inside only. He uses the litterbox well, loves to cuddle and he greatly enjoys the comforts if indoor life.

Kimchi has been fully vetted including all necessary vaccinations, full labwork, neuter and microchip. He is not currently considered special needs but he has had some questionable health concerns recently that are being investigated to the best of our ability. If you're interested in him we would of course make sure you are up to date on his health status before handing him over.

He is currently enrolled in Trupanion pet insurance. We have already checked with Trupanion policy and his policy CAN be transferred to a new owner but has to be done within 30 days of adoption. We HIGHLY recommend keeping him on this policy of you adopt him because it will definitely help alleviate any costs if he has any future health issues. Again if you're interested in him we can discuss the details on this further.

I'd like to introduce everyone to Wonton...

Wonton is one of the outside kitties that I have been caring for since August of 2022, shortly after we got settled in to our apartment here in Thomasville. He has been a sweetheart since the very beginning; of course he was a little timid at first which is not unusual for a "feral" cat, but once he learned that we were there to help him he absolutely cannot get enough attention.

We are trying to find a home for Wonton to go to, because our apartment complex is being exceptionally difficult now that they are under new management, and I fear for Wonton's well-being.

He does like to come indoors occasionally out of the rain, but we do not trust him to use the litterbox properly nor do we have the space to separate him from our own cats to spend the time properly acclimating him to indoor life. A prior neighbor of ours did try to take him in a few months ago but in the end he had to bring him back because he was peeing all over his house (yes this was before he was able to get neutered). I believe he could be litter trained but it would likely take some time and a lot of hard work.

He has veen vaccinated for Rabies and Feline Distemper. And he has been neutered. He did have an abdominal hernia that was repaired when he got neutered and he has been very healthy since then. If you know of anyone who needs maybe a barn cat, or has land and shelter that can take him in, ir even if there is anyone who may have the time to litter train him and acclimate him to being indoors, please send them my way!! This is a seni-uegent situation in the sense that he just needs somewhere safe to go before our leasing office decides to do something rash and unnecessary.
