The Drum horse gets its name by the job it was intended to do. The heavy coloured drum horses would carry a rider and two large copper kettle drums in the Queen's musical processions of the Household Cavalry. Still used today, the Queen's Drum horse is an inspiration to our International Drum Horses. The International Drum Horse Association strives for the quality and foundation to build an athlet

ic and beautiful animal. Drum horses have a foundation of Shire or Clydesdale crossing with the Gypsy Vanner to keep the kindness and intelligence of the draft breeds but the color, feather, bulk and elligance of the Gypsy Vanners.

Whisky would love a pet tag! He travels with me to work in an office almost everyday, he’s my barn buddy and loves going to horse shows (contesting is his favorite…they run fast!). He is full of personality and cuddles. Everywhere he goes, he would love to have his own Molly’s “buckle” like his family.
