Ok so I have something to admit here. I actually did not fully create these for dogs! Someone asked me a few weeks ago if my cakes were ok for horses so I began some research. Truthfully I discovered all of my cakes were technically ok for horses but I wanted something special.
Now you all know our old girl Talley who is nose blind and basically deaf right? Well this old gal can hear the crunch of a carrot from the back of the house and come basically running for her age. She would eat them all day if I let her. So last night after giving her a few I decided that would be the new flavor and the name.
Today I was at the @a.freedom.journey family reunion and they have many sweet horses at the Freedom Farm so of course I had to check. Sweet Liberty was all too happy to taste test 7, yes 7 mini Carrot Crunch cakes. Also to try them were some pigs, goats, mini pony and if Melvin the donkey hadn't enjoyed the shade so much and my girls hadn't been with me I'd have walked into the pasture and let him try one too. I hope Trinity will give me that update later.
Now horses are lactose intolerant so I use oat milk in this recipe and no frosting for them either. Lastly I switch the honey for molasses upon request. So who's first to order a horse cake?

We spent the morning out at A Freedom Journey for a reunion party for past adopted dogs. Harmony has the best time having a playdate with pups closer to her age.
While there I got to spend some time with the beautiful Layla. This girl desperately needs a home. She's been at the property for almost her entire life. Someone please consider adopting or even fostering this beautiful girl. PS she was a total fan of the new cake flavor that I will reveal later.

Thank you to my customers who are waiting on orders while I have been out of the kitchen sick last week and into this week. I just started back at it last night but have a huge amount to catch up on.

I've been trying a couple of recipes and I kept having a problem with protein content or dehydration making them too hard. Until one day, Elvie decided to help herself to some of our chicken jerky. This is no standard puppy dog jerky though. This is gourmet Elvie's Envy jerky! Made with antibiotic and hormone-free chicken breast and beef liver, organic catnip and natural silvervine.
This one should be hitting the shelves in November but some special veterinary technicians are about to get a sampling of it for their kitties next week!
I love when my girls like to help me bake. This is my youngest, she will be 3 this Summer. Her favorite thing to help with is these Woofles. Did you know that I also sell them as a DIY kit? You can add as much or as little liquid as you like to change the consistency to a thick and rollable dough or a little soupier like this for a fluffy Woofle.
