Hey everyone,

Just wanted to formally announce a change in regards to Boarding pricing that I will be rolling out in June. Starting June 1st boarding rates for Non-Training clients will be increasing to $60 per day, as for the second dog price it will be $50 per day.

Any past or future Training client will remain $45 per day with the second dog being $35.

As demand for boarding services continues to grow, I’ve made an adjustment to ensure the best experience for both boarding dogs and myself. Well-trained dogs make for smoother stays—reducing stress, improving safety, and making their time with me more enjoyable! While I love all pups, boarding dogs without foundational training can pose challenges, requiring extra time and care. Whereas boarding dog's with strong recalls, crate training skills and general manners make for smoother transitions into the boarding environment. Hey Everyone!

This Saturday I'm taking part in the Old Taylor High Market Days! Me and Brahms will be set up 11am - 4pm rain or shine. But don't worry we have a canopy and they also have a ton of shops and booths set up inside Old Taylor High to keep ya dry!

I'm also trying something a bit new. Anyone who comes out to Old Taylor High and signs up will get 20% off any service. That includes In-Home Lessons, Daycare, Boarding, or even a Board and Train!

To receive the discount all you have to do is;

Come visit the booth on Saturday, set up our first session (or the dates for the boarding or training stay), and lastly pay a deposit for whatever service we are setting up!

Hey everyone!

Sorry if I've been Mia for a contact these past few days. I've been fighting a nasty case of Bronchitis and have virtually no voice and am in a ton of pain!

I had personally mentioned to a few clients that I was booked up for Christmas but due to some last minute cancellations I Now find myself with two open slots.

So if anyone has to do last minute plans for boarding for both Christmas and New Years lucky Paws dog training has room now!

This is why I love what I do!

Both chief and Koa did summer Board and Trains and just so happened to overlap. But since their first trainings stays both of these two have come back twice for boarding at the same time and reunited!

It's funny these pups are the best of friends yet their parents have never met. Basically they were raised together and have their fun coming here is they assume they'll see each other again!

Though they are past Board and Trains any dog who boards with us can have socialization time with my own dogs and potentially social pups like Koa and Chief! I just have to evaluate them before they take the plunge into potential group play.

Socialization isn't a requirement nor are there extra fees. When your dogs are here they are a part of my family.

Let's talk about what makes or breaks any training session! Timing, Consistency, and Motivation. These are really the three pillars that need to be in place to build understanding of anything we want (or don't want) a dog to do!

Consistency is what we normally have to stress the most when working with clients and their pets. Because it can make or break any understanding.

But that doesn't mean Timing and Motivation are any less important to success!

Whenever I help a client with training we look at three main obstacles in training;

Distance, Duration, and Distraction

With any behavior we are teaching we need to take them one step at a time. Think of these three challenges as volume k***s. Normally speakers have a volume, bass, and treble. In a training session even if we wanted the highest possible levels of Distance, Duration, and Distraction we have to build up to it. While working on Distance we will "turn down" Duration and Distraction in the beginning. However, as the dog progresses we will ad more of a challenge!

If distance is good we then ask the question how long can they hold that distance? What Distractions can I throw at them? The idea is prepping for as much as we can so when we need it to training can hold up!

Potty training is always a popular training call I get. I know it can be frustrating to watch a puppy all the time and there is SO many different opinions online and given by trainers. Training is never one noted and there can be a ton of variables however I wanted to give some advice that I use with any client that needs help with potty training.

Hey yall,

I want to do something a little different and maybe bring some content to social media about dog training. A lot of people ask me questions on how long training can take and I always give the same answer, every dog can be different.

No matter if you are doing In-Home lessons, Daycare Training, or a Board and Train the process varies from dog to dog. But this is the guideline any dog I train follows step-by-step.

It's also why my Board and Trains at times seem underwhelming when you look at what's taught but then the dog looks great by the end! I'm always a stickler for Generalization and continued Maintenance. Most people stop at "sit... sit... sit" and we opt for consistent sit-stays in a busy park or in a vet clinic the first time you ask!

Training is fun but there has to be method to the madness for the dog to learn!

It's that time of year again! September and October we offer discounts for our Board and Train programs and this year we are adding a twist!

Like last year we are offering an additional week for free with any of our Board and Train packages.

But we also are offering an alternative deal adding four additional lessons! This new option makes it so with any Board and Train you'd receive six lessons rather then the usually two after your dog wraps up their training with us!
