Due to the unforeseen circumstances we have rescheduled our woman’s training and handling spaniel seminar to 31 August 1 September 2024 with Amelia Greene from Bad Habits Gundogs!

Location will be at Wildwind Kennels in Knox Maine.

We currently have some observer spots available. All dog and handler spots are full.

Cost is $300 for observers.

Amelia is a nationally recognized spaniel trainer with a strong equestrian background. We admire her communication skills with animals and believe this seminar will assist you with developing your skills as a trainer and handler.

Seminar will start at 830am until completion. Usually 5-530pm

We will plan on a Friday evening get together at the farm with dinner etc provided. It will allow everyone to meet each other and chat a bit about goals etc. Friday dinner will be at 530pm.

Saturday we will do dinner at Young's lobster pound in Belfast after training. Everyone can order what they would like and it's a nice way to continue conversations.

Lunch will be provided for Saturday and Sunday.

We have had the wonderful opportunity to work with Pat Burns (www.eliteretrievers.com) for going on a decade. Pat has brought his years of coaching, dog knowledge and training to help us develop a deeper understanding of how to teach our upland dogs to achieve great things.

Teaching your dog to perform great things while maintaining a connection with the trainer is probably the best way to explain Pats approach.

The seminar will be geared towards the proper teaching and maintenance of your flushing dog for upland hunting/upland flushing hunt tests and spaniel field trials. A unique approach of traditional spaniel training mixed with proven modern retriever teaching methods and philosophy.

Schedule will be from 9-completion on each day with a break for lunch on your own when appropriate timing allows.
