The craftsman’s market event is tomorrow! I hope you all can find some time to come check us out, it will be fun!

TOMORROW! The Craftsman's Market is finally here at Salvage Design Center (1200 W. Evans Ave. Denver 80223)! We've been busy planning this event for months, and we can't wait to show you what we've been up to!

The Craftsman's Market (*FREE ADMISSION!*) will feature demonstrations (all day from 9 am - 4 pm)) from our local vendors, a group that includes blacksmiths, carpenters, fractal wood burners, furniture builders, sign makers, string artists, alpaca farmers, jewelry artists, and more! We heavily prioritize makers who use reclaimed materials in their work, so expect to see a lot of unique, sustainably made pieces.

All vendors (including the incredibly talented Andrew Martin, shown here in his workshop) will be selling merchandise at their booths, and we’ll also be joined by two food trucks as well as a local dog rescue group that will be adopting out their rescue pups!

You’ll find all the details on The Craftsman's Market event page, but just to answer a few FAQs:

- Admission is FREE, no tickets required.
- Salvage Design Center will be OPEN for business, selling our usual reclaimed lumber, antique doors & windows, and vintage hardware.
- Our parking lots will be full of our incredible vendors and food trucks, but we’re surrounded by an abundance of free street parking! That said, we’re expecting a very large crowd, so we encourage carpooling.
- We are no longer accepting vendors for the first market, but this will be a monthly event (first Sunday of each month!), and interested parties can apply at salvagedesigncenter.com.
- As much as we LOVE pets (and they’re welcome any other day at our store), due to the large crowd size we anticipate, we ask that you leave any (non-service) animals at home.
- Our building has no stairs and is accessible for wheelchairs, but please note our parking lot (which usually contains our handicapped space) will be unavailable for parking.

The craftsman’s market has been rescheduled to April 7th. That means I’ll have more time to make more stuff!

Hello Friends,

For anyone who missed our first announcement on Tuesday, we decided to postpone The Craftsman's Market until the next “first Sunday” (April 7). We truly intended to host the event “come rain or shine,” but we never expected a blizzard with a Sunday high of 15 degrees ❄️ (as the forecast currently shows)! Many of our vendors need to be outdoors to demonstrate their skills, and we just can’t ask them or you to suffer that kind of extreme weather. (BIG) lesson learned: March is a wee bit early for this kind of event!

The silver lining is: We now have an extra month to make our first Craftsman’s Market the best it can possibly be! We hope many of you will still be able to join us on Sunday, April 7 for The Craftsman's Market 2.0. It’s been humbling and inspirational to see so much enthusiasm for this event, and we never wanted to disappoint you. We pledge to work tirelessly over the next month to make it worth your wait.

Salvage Design Center will still be open regular hours (10 am to 5 pm) this weekend, so feel free to drop in if you're willing to brave the weather! We specialize in architectural salvage, reclaimed lumber, and vintage decor. You can find us at 1200 W. Evans Ave. Denver, CO 80223. We love kids and pets, so feel free to bring them both!
