🐾 Did you know? Heartworm disease in pets is spread by mosquitoes! When an infected mosquito bites your furry friend, it can transmit heartworm larvae into their bloodstream, leading to serious health issues if left untreated. Protect your pets with regular heartworm prevention and keep them safe all year round! ❤️ #HeartwormAwareness #PetHealth #VeterinaryCare #HealthyPets

Effective June 1, 2024, VCA Camino will no longer process prescription verification requests from online or outside pharmacies. This change will help us reduce the risk of errors in external prescription handling. We will continue to support your right to choose your patient’s pharmacy by fulfilling any outside pharmacy request with a written prescription and provide you with a physical copy that you can take to the pharmacy of your choice. In order to avoid any gaps in coverage, we will authorize one refill per patient during the transition process. This policy change will not apply to verification requests from trusted compounding pharmacies, when specific formulations of a prescription are considered medically necessary. You will still be able to order prescription medications for pickup from our in-house pharmacy, or online for home delivery at shopmyvca.com. Please allow 48 hours for prescription requests.
