It’s with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Raymond “Ray” Klinger.

Ray spent over 45 years as part of the family management team that’s operated the farm since 1924. Ray was a vital part of the business’s growth and development over the years, becoming well known in the aquaculture community. We will miss him dearly.

Hunting Creek Fisheries is a 99 year old fish farm located in Thurmont raising goldfish, koi, large mouth
bass and bluegills. We sell fish, fish food and aquatic plants to garden centers and pet stores around the country.

We are looking for full-time and seasonal labor to work on the farm to assist with the raising of the fish and fulfillment of wholesale orders. Daily tasks will including grading fish for size, packaging orders that ship via UPS and Fedex, draining ponds, maintaining physical pond quality, and feeding fish among other things.

As many of you know, We've been working very hard to create a more sustainable fish farm. Our first project, for which we are very proud, was sponsored by the Maryland Energy Administration. They chose our project as one of 6 for which they created a video case study. It was just released on youtube. I hope you enjoy!
