This year has been a ride! With a TON of amazing things to be greatfull for!!! Our business has had one of the best years of its existence!! New opportunities are everywhere!! Teaching your dog off leash skills is much more than just having your dog come to you. It is a process that will build relationship! This skill is one of the greatest things you can teach your dog. It keeps them safe and yet able to live a full satisfied life.

The doors it opens and the bond it builds is a truly beautiful thing😊

Everyone meet Gulia! A 7 month old Labradoodle here for our 3 week program!!

This young pup came all the way from New York City!! While she is here, we are going to be working on her owners goals! Which primarily is basic obedience, but we are also looking to work on all the jumping and build a nice recall for this young lady❤️

3 weeks was a blink, and Penric the silver lab heads home tomorrow!!

This 4 year old handsome boy has learned so much! From completely out of focus, acting on impulse and even running away! To now having the direction he needs.. Structure, rules, communication and leadership have been a game changer for Penric. He's a please all kinda guy, who now can go almost anywhere😁

Time to see this pup on his way with his loving family 🙌 what a rock star!

Penric went to the park today!

What a BIG outing this was!!! Penric is known to run away. Which is some seriously dangerous decision making! We have been working on relationship, rules, communication and now testing them out in the community 🙌

Sasha, the 6 month old Bernes, had a great filed trip today! All of our hard work is now being tested out in the world! We like to start on the milder side with these first few outings. Making things a bit easier for our learning pups😁 She did a great job!

Our first threshold of the day is right here. Kennel thresholds! Starting the day off with the right energy and mindset. We want our dogs to be followers, which means looking for permission and taking direction. Making a dog that will listen better through the day.

A calm Luna!! Taking in her environment by just observing and not interacting. Something that took ALOT of time, patience, accountability, relationship, communication, direction, and understanding.

This is half the puzzle that was missing, the calm aspect☯️

Permission!! We look for a lot of that around here😁 We work towards this lifestyle with every dog that comes through our program. Thresholds are a huge part of that lifestyle!

It's more than a dog just sitting before it goes through a doorway. It's all about the state of mind that is let through this doorway.. Does your dog get over excited, jumps on the door, pushing around you to get through, damand barking to go out, etc? Or is your dog waiting patiently, sitting, looking to you for direction?

Thresholds are relationship. This is a ritual, an expectation of how we call out respect and demand togetherness.

Welcome, Penric!!

A stunning 4 year old Labrador here for our 3 week board and train program!

Penric recently found himself a new home. Just so happens to be with some nice folks who recently went through our program! They felt Penric could use some help, so they got a hold of us and signed him up😁. While he is here, Penric's owners are looking to have him learn to walk nice on leash, have a solid recall (he likes to run away), and to stop the barking.

We are excited to get this adorable fella on the road to being a good companion for his owners! Stay tuned for his progress ❤️

Luna came in like a HURRICANE!!! She seemed to have absolutely no "off switch" unless she was sleeping😆 A bull in a China shop, you could say!

We take several approaches that will help dogs gain a neutral and calm state of mind when they are with us. One of these methods is to teach place command. If we let our dogs move through their day with intense actions constantly and never teach them times to be calm, then that's what you will get. A dog that is firing on impulse and not necessarily living their fullest life. Balance is how we make things flow. It's how we function ourselves.

Luna is well on her way to feeling relaxed and yet still being able to be a puppy! Training does not mean no fun! It just means a time and place for everything😁

Sasha, the Bernes pup, has been having a super productive time with us. One thing we have been focusing on is her recall! We use consistent information, direction, and praise. This is done in the home, with a low distraction environment.

Just a few days ago, this precious lady joined us! Meet Luna!! A 7 month old German Shorthair Pointer here for our 3 week board and train program 🙌

This curious pup has a wild sniffer that finds its way into trouble! The primary reason Luna is with us is because of her lack of recall! With a wild nose, you never know where it may end up🤣 if it doesn't come back, there will be problems! Lunas owners are also looking to have a better walk with her. When the leash comes out, it's 100 mph everywhere!!! Very intense pulling on this young pup!! We also have some jumping and counter surfing.

Meet Sasha!! A 6 month old Bernese Mountain Dog here for our board and train program.

After patiently waiting for months, Sasha's owners are excited to be getting a full night's sleep, lol. Besides waking her owners up in the middle of the night, she is known to potty in the house, jump, bark, mouth, and any other puppy behavior you can think of. Over the course of her training, we will be focusing on getting an overall basic obedience and a well-mannered young lady.

Can't wait to start Sasha's autumn 🍂journey!

Can't believe 3 weeks is almost over!

Our miniature Dachshund friend Wiley is heading home tomorrow! After his time with us, we will now be focusing on teaching his owners.

Dog training is a lifestyle! One that is not easily found. It takes a lot of discipline, time, knowledge, hard choices, and error.

We are very excited for Wileys new opportunities in life, and we look forward to sharing that with his owners!

Does anyone remember Henry!!??

About 4 years ago, we had this handsome black pit mix attend our board and train program!! Well, since then, life has been a Rollercoaster🎢 and Mr. Henry has been going through some challenging times!

We hear that Henry is experiencing reactivity! If you know anything about reactivity, you know that it is a lot to handle! For both dog and owner. Henry is a good dog! The barking, the lunging, the growling, and the display of intensity is a problem with relationship! Any dog can develop reactivity. It's a one size fits all hat that dogs can easily learn to put on. Our job as owners is to lead our dogs through these challenges! To help them through these learning experiences.

Stay tuned for Henry's time with us! We are excited to see these folks and their dog back on their feet😊

Checking in on Wiley the Dachshund! We have been making some awesome progress with this young fella! One skill we have been focusing on is a good reliable recall. 🙌

How do you start combating your dog's anxiety? By literally teaching them how to be calm! This video will show you what we look for and how we start the process of learning to relax 😌

Checking in on Mary the Pug today! This 1 year old pup has a wild nose and loves to explore her surroundings! Like most dogs, that nose and mind can get away from you😁 That's why we like to teach all of our students to come back to us, right in the beginning! Mary has shown great success with this new skill. Her attitude is soft and her curiosity is beautiful 🖤 cant wait to see her progress more in the time to come!

Boomer headed off to the local park today to work on his skills! We practiced everything, including heel, down, tone recall, thresholds, and of course some free time to run around Love the progress this smart boy has made ❤️🙌

The number one reason Boomer was put through our program, was to help with his anxiety towards the mailman! We were told he would "attact the molding on the door" trying to get out to the "intruder" . His behavior had been worsening and can often times be unpredictable. Causing a lot of havoc in the home he lives in. Honestly, this is a totally normal thing to happen with a dog. Especially a working line herding dog such a Mr. Boomer. In this dogs mind, he is experiencing a lot of anxiety, stress and pressure. Feeling that he needed to do something about the possibility of danger. Unable to resist this oncoming challenge, Boomer has assigned himself a job😊 When it comes down to it, a dog will do what's right for the pack. If this behavior works and the mailman were to walk away? Well, then Boomer has done his job successfully! Here, we are teaching Boomer that the job he once had isn't a priority. As the days have progressed, we have been setting up this scenario to build understanding and practice a new association. We have been able to take a lot of pressure off Mr. Boomer shoulders. Progress is always good, even if it takes time😊

Zeva the German Shepherd has been out on this beautiful day, working on her tone recall! Check out how we like to begin building the recall command, the very first steps of our program! Zeva is one smart pup!😎👏

A quick peek at Remy's progress with grooming!! One of Remys owners wishes is to be able to comb Remy when needed.. This is short clip of what we look for when we are working with grooming. Calm atmosphere, Calm state of mind, in a sit or down/stay, using reward (daily kibble). Nothing fancy but we have definitely been making some progress😁

Buck was out working on his come, sit, stay with tone recall today! This guys been making lots of progress and having a great time! Check it out! 😀

Hiking with Axi! Working on Socializing and creating real life scenarios to practicing our skills! Axi has had some issues at home with other dogs.. So we are out making positive experiences and keeping a neutral energy! Check it out!
