When you agree to breed your dog with someone, and they send you the money to cover the vet fees, but check "goods and services" and paypal decides that's "too much profit" for one year and withholds 7/8 of the payment and now you can't pay the vet fees, but you also can't send the money back... what do I do? Customer service is closed!

New info I just learned: if your dog's tongue turns blue/ purple/ any color other than normal, (not beauty mask spots but the whole tongue bottom and top) They are medically distressed and likely need oxygen or something else. Take them to the vet asap, while giving oxygen on the way if you're able

Most of you know the issues we've faced with Cassie's weight, but for those of you who don't, here's a recap:

Before having any puppies, Cassie was a spry 52 pounds and 2 years old. Between litters, she was 56 pounds. After her last litter at almost 5, she was 58 pounds. Then once all the pups from the last litter were weaned and she turned 5, she got spayed.

In the few weeks after the surgery, she just BALLOONED. She gained almost 20 pounds (what felt like) nearly overnight!

We struggled to get her weight to a manageable level for over a year by exercising more and feeding less, but it wasn't doing a whole lot. (And dad giving table scraps dogs NOT help...) She topped out at almost 80 pounds!

A few months ago we started Nom Nom (NN) and then switched to the slightly cheaper Farmer's dog (FD) fresh food mixed with her kibble. We really like the NN, but it was pretty expensive, like $60 more per month than FD. But either way, she is down to 64 pounds again, and we can feel her ribs and see her waist! If anyone is having a similar problem, we suggest mixing some fresh food into their kibble. It makes a world of difference.

If anyone is interested, one of the boy pups from Willie's latest litter with Tawny Rose is still available. The breeder is asking only $1k w/o breeding rights.
He is so smart and lovely, very sweet. He is nearly 4 months old, fully house broken, and knows some commands like "sit," "leave it," and "time to come in."

Cooper is a daddy! Last night Tilly (not our Tilly) had 14 pups, and so far they are thriving!

Would you rather:

a. Take a puppy home at 8-10 weeks old and train it yourself completely

b. Take an older pup home at around 6-9 months with basic obedience and potty training

c. Take a dog home between 1-2 years old after all the potty and obedience training has been completed

Or

d. Take an older dog home at around 5 years old, after she's fixed and you know exactly what you're getting

We have noticed that at least two of our pups (Willie and Russell) have extremely unique eyes. Like liquid gold with bits of green. They literally glow in the light.
Anyone else have a pup with cool eyes?
