Needing to rehome ASAP. Landlord says the dog has to go. "Rusty" needs an experienced cattle dog handler. He is ready to have a JOB. House trained, loves car rides, can get protective of his owner. Meet Maxie!! (Maximus)
Story:
In late December, we found Maxie in the mountains of WV in extreme cold. We speculate he was dropped off in my mother’s neighborhood which seems to happen from time to time. My mom, being 85 (and not a dog person) could not keep him and the neighbors wanted to call the shelter.
Shelter:
The shelter in southern WV is a kill shelter and beyond capacity. I did not have the heart to take him there so on a whim I loaded him up and brought him to GA.
About Maxie:
We think Max is a 1-year-old (est.) Australian Shepherd. He is without question one of the sweetest dogs I’ve ever been around. He is potty trained, amazingly smart (we’ve already taught him to sit, “wait” for his treats, fetch, etc.), and beyond amazing with all kinds of people.
He’s the kind of dog you can easily take to the park, on a hike, to the store …. Just about anywhere! He loves his chew toys too😉. He reminds me of a frisbee dog that just loves to have fun with his owner doing just about anything. Max is simply special.
Adoption:
Susan and I would love to keep him (we’re already attached) but we already have 4 dogs and are at capacity. We know finding him a good home is the right thing to do despite the emotions that come with this decision. We are hoping whomever reads this and is in need of a wonderful companion will provide Max a great home. He deserves nothing less.

Reaching to see if anyone has seen these two wonderful dogs. Charlie and Maxie. I've been fostering them for about 3 weeks and they got out about 24 hours ago and I cannot find them. They have on green colors with my phone number on the inside.
Last seen: 1/16/25 in the Sylvan Lakes Community (Western Way)

Female dog in need of finding a forever home. Lucy is 4 months old, spayed, fully vetted and vaccinated with a microchip. She is crate trained and loves to play with kids, humans and other dogs. Hey there! I'm Lucy Lou, the adorable baby with lots of love to give. I'm a friendly, gentle, and curious pup who loves to explore and make new friends. I love to run around and play, but I also love nothing more than a snuggly nap. I am very affectionate and enjoy being around people.
