Rooftop Roost

It seemed simple enough... keeping 11 baby chickens under a light in a baby chicken box. It seemed simple enough to commit to keeping them forever even..

until they grew out of the box. Now you can watch us learn about them, and them about us! Our goal at the Rooftop Ranch is ultimately to open a year round farm store in Tillamook County that will not only feature fresh local food from our local food producers, but that will also act as an educational facility, teaching backyard and urban farming to visitors and online.

Heeey why's my sister stuck in that Chicken Infirmary?

Th-th-th-the-the-at's a Rooster folks! We met this handsome man at the Cock'a Doodle Do - Any Cockle Do animal sanctuary in Beaver Oregon. The sanctuary is host to some of the most beautiful unwanted birds I've ever seen!

Oh-mah-gosh you guys! Bunnies!!!!! The bunnies were delivered late at the other night by a transportation volunteer that works with Avalon Microsanctuary. The poor thing didn't get home from #tillamook until after 1am! They were delivered with absolutely everything they needed, which is so thoughtful as a and as a first time #bunnyfostermom, appreciated! This included four animal pens. I had no idea what the heck went in them so I made sure they had some of everything that came with them. I made their beds out of bunny litter. I just threw a ton of bunny litter everywhere! I'm sure they thought this was going to be another seriously crappy home! See the bunnies were rescued in July from a nasty hoarder situation. I put their water in whatever dishes I could find. It was a hot mess, but everyone made it to morning! Lol! Can't wait to introduce you to them all! In the meantime, let me see your bunny pens!
