C.A.R.A. (Citizens for Animal Rescue and Adoption) C.A.R.A. is a 501(c)3 non-for-profit, No Kill animal shelter and rescue for homeless, injured/neglected or surrendered animals. On rare occasion a large dog.

ts so please let us know what you are looking for and we will have several ready for you to meet. Occasionally we have a few puppies or small dogs. We are only set up to keep a few, so check back often. Please note, we are an independent shelter and not an open intake shelter. We keep our pets for as long as they live or until they find homes, which keeps our shelter full. We will only be able to take in when we have adequate room for more. We are trying to find this all female litter of kittens a home before they turn one year old the end of March. They've been with us since they were bottle fed babies. They are social, friendly, easy to handle, snuggly at times, playful at times, lazy at times, loving, and beautiful. They are spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations.

Sallie (calico) is the most adventurous and curious and loves to play. She will be the first to greet you at the door.
Suzie (torti) seems like she is holding back but just scoop her up and she melts. She just likes less drama and if you are a calm cat lover, she will love all the cuddles and friendship.
Snuggles (gray and white tabby) is a care less kind of girl, she is up for whatever you choose. She likes watching all the entertainment from the top of the cat tree and loves lounging. But it depends on the day as to whether she will join the playtime. She loves being petted and is okay just handing around.

They all get along with other cats that come in the playroom. Please help these beautiful and friendly girls find their forever homes.

Meet our Purrcy. He's ready to find a home. He was in the showcase area hoping to be noticed and cage mates with another single litter kitten, a female named Billie, for most of his kitten months. But recently Purrcy moved to a free roaming room where he could have more time for fun and adventures. He gets along with other cats, and loves cat friends. He is playful and curious. He enjoys being petted, he's friendly, he's neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Purrcy is 10 months old and a thick, beautiful boy. Please don't let his cloudy eye stop you from falling in love though. It has caused him to be overlooked, but we hope you see him and the amazing kitten he is.

This beautiful and very sweet girl is Billie. She is 8-9months old and has been overlooked. We've posted her multiple times, and she is showcased first thing when you walk in, in the hopes she will be noticed. We are hoping her forever family will see this post and scoop her up. She is quiet and calm, snuggly when you pick her up and she melts in your arms. She purrs loudly and loves when she is held. Billie is quiet, petite, sweet, friendly, loves blankets, cozy corners, and chair sitting with you. She isn't pushy or needy and is okay with being held or not. She will make a great friend and companion. She gets along with other cats She's spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Currently Bille shares a cage with Purrcy, another tabby and one of our less adoptables due to his cloudy eye. She gets along with the other cats she sees in the play room. We had some amazing young volunteers on their last day of winter break from school, who worked hard but also enjoyed the fun part of the job, loving on the CARA cats! Thank you girls for all you do to make a difference! And remember, every one of these fur babies is available to adopt.
