https://youtu.be/fEZPQuUu_oc Here's a short video I was able to put together to give an idea of what these cases look like. Kosro is an adult French Bulldog who has exhibited some aggressive behavior towards visitors entering the home (particularly unfamiliar ones). He's even bitten a couple of people (minor bites, but serious enough that they need to be stopped).
By creating a routine that gives him both space initially, and something positive to work on, you can see that we're able to get some completely different behavior that he was already capable of. This is a real-time video and the very first time I'm meeting this dog. The situation was discussed ahead of time after I took this pup's history. We walked through the plan before I arrived at the house. The video starts upon my entry and goes from there. By the time I'm tossing the last treat into this pup's mouth, the total time is about 1.5 hours or so.
As you can see, these cases aren't very flashy. Which, is the way I like it. Simple is boring, but simple is repeatable. Repeatability is everything when it comes to routines that prevent aggressive behavior.

Here Norman (very friendly sheepadoodle) is helping me out with demonstrating how to get a puppy acclimated to putting on a harness. This can help prevent your pup from making you chase him around, becoming defensive, or from doing the "doggy deathroll" where they roll on their backs and make it impossible to get the harness on. The last one is especially fun when your hand or fingers are stuck in the harness when they do it.... ask me how I know!
This may also be helpful with dogs who already have very minor sensitivity to harnesses being placed on them. Dogs with major issues may need things broken down differently. Especially if there is any major fear or aggressive self-defensive behaviors associated with the harness being put on. In this case, Norman is clearly happy to humor me.
