As we approach Valentine’s Day, we want to send out a warning on Chocolate and Xylitol Toxicity. Many people exchange candy and chocolate as gifts for the holiday. Although these tasty treats are wonderful to us, they are highly unsafe for our pets. We encourage you to keep these foods stored in a cupboard out of reach of your pets to avoid any potential ingestion.

Signs of chocolate and xylitol toxicity may include vomiting and diarrhea but can also cause more severe symptoms such as seizures, coma, and even death.
