Update on Tiny Tim from Ms. Carol's litter. Passed yesterday. (Pic from previous days) Nature took its course, it just couldn't catch up from its skeletal mass.

Woohoo! Ms Princess had her litter this morning! 6 beautiful Silver Fox. Most likely all blacks. Daddy was Hagrid, our huge Chocolate SF. All look healthy and momma doing great!

Update on Ms Carol's litter. 11 Days Old. All are doing great. The black SF are Huge in comparison to the Blue is now smaller. And Tiny Tim is a Blue but still growing. Hoping Tiny Tim to start really not looking so skeletal, only time will tell.

Of the 5 baby Silver Fox, we have 1 that is so tiny! It's making progress still, has a full belly with its siblings. 3 days old. Hopefully Tiny Tim will make it.

Exciting day today in the Rabbitry. Ms. Leah had 9 kits and Ms. Carol has 5 left of the 6 she kindled.

Gidgets babies out doing their thing.. eating, playing and chillin on their den house.. Will have to move them to larger space here real soon!

We will have American Blue Buns available in a couple of weeks. Unfortunately they may not be Show quality due to the excessive white tips in their coats. Up for Discussion- Buddy. Buddy is a Silver Fox and his color is Black. Prince is a Buck that has been with us since he was about 8 weeks old. He was born in July of 23. He weighs at 8.25 lbs. Buddy would be a great addition as a pet. Could also be used for 4H. Or a possible meat breeder. He loves pets and is easy to handle. Send a message if you are interested in Buddy. Up for Discussion- Sable. We believe he is a Sable. Not sure if mixed. Sable is a Buck that has been with us since he was about 6 months old. He was born in May of 23. His color is black but not sure if thats a mix of brown or if its Gold tips?. He weighs at 8 & 1/2 lbs. Sable would be a great addition as a pet or possibly for 4H. Up for Discussion- Silver. We believe he is a Standard? Mini Rex. Silver is a Buck that has been with us since he was about 6 months old. He was born in May of 23. Official color of him is Blue. He weighs at 5 lbs. Silver would be a great addition as a pet or possibly for 4H. Or added to your meat breeder program. He loves pets and is easy to handle. We handle all our Buns in our Rabbitry. They are all spoiled equally here even with our meat breeds. Our Buns get a healthy diet of 18% protein feed and variations of Timothy/Grass/Orchard Hays. Nails get trimmed, and our Buns get Yard time when weather is good outside.

Welcome to BackYard Buns Rabbitry. We started our journey Sept of 23 with a trio of 8 wk old Silver Fox's. We have been learning alot along the way of what not to do. And still learning. I wish I would have done this when we first started because we have changed our rabbitry at least a dozen times to make it more manageable for us to take care of and keeping our Rabbits healthy & Happy.

We loved the Rare Breeds and decided to include in our Rabbitry...Silver Fox variations, American Blues and Satin Angora variations. We Breed for Show, Pet/4H & Meat. We are still farely New to the Rabbitry World and Learn something new Everyday. We also Hope in future to challenge our Rabbitry with another Rare Breed, Creme D'Argents.
