We wanted to express our heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of support that our clients and friends have shown.

Thank you dearly for the messages of love, sympathy, care, the flowers, cards, and unwavering support you have sent our way. Your kind words and gestures have been a source of immense comfort and solace for our family. Each expression of sympathy has touched our hearts deeply, reminding us of the incredible community we are grateful to be a part of.

For those who wish to attend, the burial service for our beloved Dr. Curry will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery on Tuesday, November 14th at 10 am.

We extend an invitation to all who wish to pay their respects; please accompany us to this tranquil and sacred final resting place.

Once again, thank you for your unwavering support, love, and sympathy. We are profoundly grateful for you.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved owner and veterinarian, Dr. Curry. He was an exceptional veterinarian, a trusted surgeon, and a respected professional who cared deeply for your pets. His loss leaves a void that is deeply felt by all of us.

His memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 25 at DeGusipe Funeral Home in Maitland. All are welcome.

As we navigate this difficult period of transition, we remain committed to providing you with continued support for your pets. While the future of the clinic remains uncertain, we are actively exploring options for new ownership or a new doctor to ensure that the legacy of quality care established by Dr. Curry endures.

During this phase, here's what you need to know:

1. Hours: Our front desk remains open during normal business hours to answer your questions. Please call or email–we are here to help.

2. Health Records: If you need or would like to seek care for your pets elsewhere, we can provide veterinary health records by email, by fax, or in-person if you wish to pick up hard copies. Please call or email us.

3. Appointments: We understand that you may have appointments scheduled or need future appointments. Though we can only provide nail trims and grooming-related care at this time, please reach out to us and we will do our best to assist you in finding alternate care.

We are incredibly grateful for your trust in the Animal Care Clinic of Titusville, and we thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through this challenging period. Your pets' health and well-being remain our top priority, and we are dedicated to continuing the level of care you have come to expect from our clinic.

Animal Care Clinic of Titusville offers exceptional veterinary care to small animals of the Space Coast. We treat our clients and patients with respect, dignity, and professionalism, and practice the highest possible level of veterinary care.

If you are a veterinary technician and you work well with others, have superb client service skills, and provide exceptional patient care, we look forward to meeting you!

Responsibilities and Duties

We encourage technicians to develop skills to their full potential. This is a challenging position that requires skill and care throughout the hospital with duties like:
• Providing quality patient care
• Entering medical notes
• Maintaining cleanliness of treatment and surgical areas
• Kennel and hospital maintenance
• Drawing blood or collecting other lab samples
• General nursing duties
• Animal handling and restraining
• In-house and outside laboratory testing
• X-ray standards and protocols
• Dentistry
• Obtaining history and vital signs for patient exams
• Assisting with patient exams and surgical procedures
• Helping maintain the flow of patients throughout clinic
• Communicate with clients (pet owners) and update patient files
• Perform initial evaluation of the animal’s condition, check vital
statistics, collect samples, and administer some medications
• Obtain and prepare laboratory samples as requested by the veterinarian, i.e. urine, f***l, and ear cytology
• Notify the doctor of lab results in a timely fashion
• Restrain animals in a safe, efficient and compassionate manner
• Prepare and set up for surgical procedures while utilizing knowledge of proper sterile field requirements
• Monitor recovery of surgery
• Accurately prepare and dispense medications as directed by the doctor, ensuring that medications are added to the pet’s record and appropriately charged to the client
• Know vaccination guidelines within the clinic and administer vaccinations under the direction of the doctor
• Monitor hospitalized pets and perform treatments as directed by the doctor

Technical Requirements
• I.V. catheter placement
• Phlebotomy
• In-house laboratory
• Surgical prep
• Anesthesia/surgical monitoring
• Dental procedures
• X-Rays

Personal Requirements
• Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or 2+ years of veterinary technician experience
• Flexible schedule including some weekend and holiday shifts
• Must have computer skills, working knowledge of Cornerstone and VetLab is a plus
• Must possess strong communication skills, good judgment, and ability to manage stressful situations in a fast paced and challenging environment
• Experience with veterinary medical procedures, animal handling, along with excellent communication skills, a sense of urgency, and working harmoniously with teammates are required
• Must be dependable, demonstrate strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

We need an animal lover who is a quick, critical thinker, who can multitask and give outstanding customer service. We pride ourselves on going above and beyond for our clients and are looking to add to our front office team. Experience in veterinary field is preferred. Excellent computer skills are required as is attention to detail and superb memory.

This is a very busy office and there will be lots of computer work, answering phones, restraining/lifting of animals, and restocking shelves.
